@Contrai, how did you get into Thai cinema? I thought you were ignoring everything asian that doesn’t come from HK…
@Crazy
- You picked my second favourite Eastern Condors cover art. Got the Rambo one myself, but that’s very good, too.
- Been meaning to buy Lethal Force for a long time…
- Nobody has loved Gedo senki so far… I missed it myself last fall when Miyazaki was in Finland with it…
- Inframan has a damn terrific theme music
- Millionaire’s Express is the first film where I didn’t hate Cynthia Rothrock. But of course I much preferred Yukari Oshima…

I’m just ignoring Japan and Korea.
It’s probably too popular and / or pretentious for me, too pigged out, too mass media, I’m the meager eremite-guy. Thai movies are pretty straight, cheap, a little dumb, a little amateurish, just like the 80ies HK cinema.
Dek-Dane [ Young & Dangerous goes on Fatal Vacation ]:
The new Sin City DVD. It’s tight. Love it.

@Dice, pictures, pictures. Here or somewhere. Wanna see. And also, be honest, how much did you pay for that beauty?
[/quote]
It hasn’t even been shipped yet. Duh, I know, I shouldn’t be listing movies in this thread which I just ordered.
But I’m gonna make some pictures, as soon as it has arrived. Sorry. ;D
Anyway, here are some recent buys (got them used for very little money):
“From Beijing with Love” (Stephen Chow)
“Stealth”, baby. Yeah, bash me. I’ll probably deserve it.
“Skinny Tiger, fatty Dragon” (Sammo Hung)
“Le Professionnel” (Jean-Paul Belmondo)

I knew that it was cut. But it’s still a bit more uncut than the TV-Version I already loved back in my “childhood” days. And they didn’t cut out any action, it’s lots of dialogue and comedy parts, that is missing. In other words, it’s enough for me. There are other movies, where I’m way more concerned with what version I should be buying.
Jaws - 30th Anniversary Addition ;D ;D ;D Chompy Chomp!!!
Kill Bill 1 & 2
Sleepy Hollow - (My favorite Johnny Depp movie for cute/hotness)
The Shining
The Coastguard (I haven’t seen it but I’ve been meaning too, and it was only 6 dollars…so…)
dah, I want that, too. But why R2J? I’d assume the Media Blasters is a port?
Brutal Tales of Chivalry 2

Got it used from ebay. All in all (shipping included) 15 EURO. Not too bad.
Not to mention, that a movie with Jo Odagiri is easily worth 50 EURO, but we already had that, didn’t we? ;D
The cover-artwork for “Beauty’s Exotic Dance: Torture” is incredible!
And would you care to provide me with some info about “Pink Hip Girl”? Because it looks like a movie I could be enjoying, too.

Beauty’s Exotic Dance is supossed to be one of Tanaka’s masterpieces. Weisser rates it 4/4, NY Times calls it “an amoral masterpiece” and IMDB comment says “the cinematography is stunning”.
Pink Hip Girl, or Pink Tush Girl, is a film by Koyu Ohara, “The King of Pop Art Porn”. Weisser (3/4 rating) writes Ohara has created “an erotic world from pop music and high school tribulations… this series was popular with both male and female audiences. This is probably due to the genuinely honest chemistry between the two leads, Kahori Takeda and Ako. They seem to be, in fact, best friends.”
I’ve got subs for both, even though for Pink Hip Girl I had to download 4GB of video just to get a hold of the subscript. Now I’m just waiting for the dvds to arrive (speaking of, I will hopefully receive

And where are the pics? Don’t be shy. She’s not even underage ;D
