Uma Thurman

Last night I watched The Avengers, damn that movie is confusing, The story keeps jumping and jumping. A real baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad movie. I heard they had a 2 hour movie at the first screening, but due to the bad responses they cut it down to 96 mins.
Paycheck

I think Paycheck was a good movie, Uma and Ben worked pretty well in it together. Woo is back on track now it seems.
Hated Paycheck

I think now I can officially say Woo has lost it

I fell asleep watching this (it was slightly after they brought Uma to meet “Mother” and “Father” for tea), literally. Even though Ralph Fiennes looked fine in it. The opening was okay but it went downhill after that.

I fell asleep too, but that was due to a lil to less sleep. But I heard there was another opening with the evil Uma entering that building.

There was? The one I watched was with Steed whacking the nuns.

I want to see Dangerous Liasons and Henry and June.

Tape wasn’t bad. A bit thin, but Uma did a good job.

I also want to check out Hysterical Blindness. She’s apparently amazing in that.

I think Tape’s total movie budget was about 50 bucks or something. There are only 3 actors and everything takes place in one room. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but it’s not your kind of movie if you’re easily bored by watching the same fuckin’ setting for 90 minutes or if you’re a claustrophobic.

The first movie I ever saw Uma in was Johnny Be Good. It was a goofy 80s sports comedy with Anthony Michael Hall. Youve probably seen it.

Since then the movies Ive really liked her in are:

Mad Dog and Glory

Beautiful Girls

Jennifer 8

Pulp

Kill Bill

Hysterical Blindness (only saw part of it, but Uma was great)

I can appreciate the low budget - I’m an indie fanatic - but it seemed too much like a student film, made by someone who should be above student films. I thought the backstory could have been a bit more fleshed out. The plot twists were welcome, though.

Look what i found on the Avengers note

the most disturbing scene of the movie

^LMAO!

But really, I would be more worried if Sean Connery summoned the Teletubbie baby sun thing.

what in the bloody fuck…?
First, my SON (not me, not me…) has this fucking DVD.

Spoiler! Spoiler? Spoiler…

OK. What you see is a very dangerous group of gangster! In front you see Sean Connery, the master of the weather.

You should see it for yourself. Everyone should see it and never talk about it…

btw. Some minutes later one or two (I forget it) of this dangerous gangsters will be killed.

For the men here: But Uma wear sexy shoes and clothes

search the 2 differences ;D.

But for real this scene totally makes no sense whatsoever.

Let’s not forget the Terry Gilliam Classic The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. With Uma Thurman playing the lovely Venus and the lovely Rose.

She made a movie in 2000 in France with Gerad Depardieu. It´s called “Vatel”.

Gah, ‘Paycheck’ was okay but it was kind of slow (yes, I know it is a John Woo action movie!). Uma has some of the lamest lines and you can’t help expecting her to suddenly whip out her knife/katana.

Well I wasn’t expecting her to whip out any swords or knives but she actually did fuck-all in that movie besides worry for big ol’ Ben Affleck. And yes it was pretty slow at times, I hate the music Woo is picking nowadays.

^ I wasn’t too but I couldn’t help it. Agreed. She was a harmless Poison Ivy in it.

Music? What music? More like muzak.

you really enjoyed paycheck?

it was ok. uma did good for what she had to work with. and the items interested me at first but it kinda went downhill. and the action sequences!?!? what the hell!?!? they arent there!! where the hell is the bullet ballet?? at there was a dove :-/
