i really wish low budget cinema would go back to shooting on film.

then it wouldn’t be low budget anymore
it could still be low budget there where many low budget films not shot on video way before this video revolution.

“blew donkey balls” is a great expression!
Lots of Return of The Living Dead haters on this board. For shame.

huh? When did they make fun, they portrayed it in a very decent, normal way.
and Return of the Living Dead is the best Horror Comedy ever and wipes the floor with “Shaun of the Dead”. The music, the premise, the effects, the humour, the dialogue - everything in this movie is great.
Zombie: “Send more paramedics!” Buahahahahaa ;D
I’m just going to throw out some titles that I hate, because their are to many movies for me to make a reliable list.
In no particular order…
Alien 3000 (If you’ve seen it, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about.)
Raging Sharks (It started in space…with aliens…)
Monkey Warfare (Terrible, poorly thought out and INCREDIBLY irritating.)
Nick of Time (I just watched this recently. So bad. It was so unrealistic and just generally terrible)
Apocolytpo (sp?) (OFFENSIVE!!!)
Stupidity (This is how not to make a documentary. I get that it’s even supposed to be stupid, but it’s not even effective in that.)
Also…
ALL the new Star Wars films, ESPECIALLY the last one. (I don’t know why everyone defends the new franchise by saying the last one redeemed them, it was such shit. Hayden Christensen is a fucking wiener.)
All ultra gore/sadistic horror movies.

I haven’t seen any of these… lucky me ;D

Offensive? Why? I thought it was a pretty good film.

HAVE you ever gone through a pregnancy and childbirth with someone at your side that was a complete piece of shit loser? I have. He seemed really awesome at first. Really smart and genuine. Now, I look back, and I find myself constantly wondering why the fuck I didn’t notice he wasn’t wearing a condom…
Anyway, on to the other subject. Zombie comedy? HOW was Return of the Living Dead funny? Are we talking about the same movie? Because the one I’m talking about, I felt to be a slight against the zombie genre. Shaun of Dead was a comedy, yes. It was also true to the genre, and the masters of it.
BTW, childbirth, hurts!!! BAD!!! Incase you didn’t know that. I’d rather cut off my arm with a rusty saw, than to ever give birth again.
Cheers!

Shaun of The Dead was good the first few times but after a while I tend to skip most scenes. And what do you mean by “masters of it” ?

All I meant was that they didn’t do any disrespect to Romero, particularly. They did their best to not let the horror side of it slip, while they made a romantic comedy around it.
I’m drunk.

Okay. If you were referring to Edgar as a master of that genre, you’re dead wrong, but I guess you weren’t so…
When someone makes 5 (diary of the dead) dead films as distinct and as interesting as Romero, then you can call them masters of the genre. So far:
George Romero and Lucio Fulci are the only ones in that category.

OF COURSE I wouldn’t call Wright a “Master” of the zombie genre! I was only saying that he did his best to pay homage to the masters.

HOW was Return of the Living Dead funny?[/quote]
Are you serious?

It wasn’t funny. I didn’t laugh at it. It was just shite. I was offended by the fact it was even written.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Personally I find it ten times more entertaining than Shaun of The Dead, which to me is one of the most overrated movies of the new millennium. Most of the humor in that movie felt incredibly forced…like I am supposed to laugh but I just can’t bring myself to. It is one of those movies that geeks say they love mainly because they can boast that they “got the joke about Ash”, or “understood the joke about Barbara”…not because they died laughing during the movie. I don’t agree much with Crazy Hattori most of the time, but in this case I’m with him all the way.
