Batman was cool.
Ed Wood, the 1st Batman, and Sleepy Hollow were all pretty good, but I just don’t think Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is a good move for Burton or Depp.
I agree! I hope Johnny Depp does a Quentin film. I read in a QT interview, that they want to work together one day. That would be so cool! Wonderful directing, acting and eye candy all in the same film! But I think the only good batman film is the one from the 60’s I love the shark repellent!
I really enjoyed his new movie Big Fish, and I liked Batman 1 and 2, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Ed Wood and the half-satire/half-homage to '50s B-movies Mars Attacks.
I almost forgat Nightmare before Christmas, liked it too.
…now I think about it, I enjoyed most of his movies.

so do I… I don’t realy have one movie from him that I hate… maybe pee wee and the planet of the apes were not good enough for tim burton’s movies, but I can’t say that they are bad movies. I know that everyone think that planet of the apes was awful, but I think that they say that because they are disapointed of Burton, not of the movie itself !
Beetlejuice was awesome too. I almost forgot about that.

I’ve heard too that QT wants to work with johnny depp, and I think too that it would great ! two different styles for an excellent movie… yep’… but I think that we can wait ofr a long time, because QT has so much ideas for movies, and johnny depp isn’t (yet) including in these movies. So I hope that QT will make something new that can including johnny depp !
I love Tim Burton, when he teams up with Johny Depp its magical… I,ve seen almsot all of his movies and I enjoyed allmost all of them except The Planet of the Apes and Mars Attack… I dont know about him working with Quentin though…
Yeah Planet of the Apes sucked balls. Especially when you listen to the audio commentary. I made it end like this so its open for a sequel. What a sell out move.
I didn’t like Planet of the Apes either, but you gotta agree that the whole aestheticsof it is great. If you need a dark sinister yet beautiful environment, you gotta call Burton.

Man, I love Ed Wood! I loved it so much, I ended up buying “Plan 9 from outer space” and “bride of the monster”! I cant find “glen or glenda” though! I want to see how bad it is! I love awful, awful B-movies!

I finally saw “plan 9 from outer space”, “bride of the monster” and “night of the gouls” and that was… awful ! just like cult awful movie ! and not B-movies but Z-movies you can say that ! that was so awful, that it became cult and excellent ! I must see “glen or glenda” !
Oh you must see ‘Glen or Glenda’ it is fantastic! Last time I saw it was on BBC2 in 1994 the year ‘Ed Wood’ came out.

Even worse news is that they just re-used the original screenplay by Blake Edwards, those sick fucks using the written work of a deadman.

Blake Edwards is still alive! <LINK_TEXT text=“http://www.deadoraliveinfo.com/dead.nsf … ards+Blake”>http://www.deadoraliveinfo.com/dead.nsf/enames-nf/Edwards+Blake</LINK_TEXT>
Incidentally has anyone seen Mario Bava’s ‘Mask of Satan’ (also known as ‘Black Sunday’) directed by Mario Bava and starring Barbara Steele? It has beautiful cinematography and I think it was a big influence on ‘Sleepy Hollow’.
just watch the new trailer of “the corpse bride” and enjoy it !!!

it just look excellent ! a real cult animation movie just like nightmare before christmas !!!
I can’t wait to see it ;D ;D
Burton’s a pretty good director, I love his style. I specially liked Beetlejuice, Batman, Batman Returns, and Mars Attacks.

I just got Glen or Glenda on DVD! I havent watched it yet though, Ive been too busy and hungover (My birthday was on the weekend)
I love Burton! I somehow feel like he makes too much consessions to a broad public though…
I would like to see a very dark, totally Burton minded movie, without consessions to a certain public.
I’m still missing a few of his movies… He’s one of my fav directors, there’s not much to not like Oh, except that Charlie-kid in CatCF, so damn annoying little kid
Ok, it was a few years ago since I read the book, but I don’t remember him being that annoying
But Charlie also had Noah Taylor as his Dad, and thats awesome.
Tim Burton is a really great director, would have liked to seen what would have happened if he kept on with the Batman series…Maybe we would have been spared Bat credit cards. Ed Wood is by far my favourite Burton movie though.

And Helena Bonham Carter as his mum! That’s fucking awesome, hehe.
Hmm, I’m not really sure which is my fav. I love all that I’ve seen by him.
