I thought that was a great ending. I was kind of pissed at first, but the more I let it sink in the more I realize how perfect it is.

Thats pretty much what i thought, phil’s death was very sopranos like
Did anyone catch AJ’s Tony like moment in his dressing gown walking down the stairs with the world on his shoulders?
yeah…I didn’t like the ending at first, but then I started thinking about it…there was an element of fear - I kept wondering if that guy at the bar was going to shoot the family and Meadow would be saved because she couldn’t parallel park - and you could see Tony watching that guy too…then you wondered if Meadow was going to get side-swiped by an eighteen-wheeler…the basic point is that they live in constant fear. The best line in the episode however, was when Tony told the old man that he and his father used to run North Jersey…he simply replied “that’s nice”. I think it was at that moment that Tony realized that everything that he thought was so grand really wasn’t shit in the big picture - “that’s nice” is all the man had to say after being the head honcho - and now he’s just an old fart in a nursing home who doesn’t even know his own name.
“that’s nice”
now that i look at it like that i like the episode more, did you like how they closed the book on jun? he had some of the best devolpment character wise, the middle seasons all you think was if uncle jun was faking his dimensia so he could get the last laugh on tony…
On a bunch of other forums there are so many people trying to think of different theories but they are just in denial, Tony is not dead. Life for the Soprano family will go on the ending was just ment to show how even in peace with his family, he needs to be on his toes.
I think his consience killed him.
The ending really made me mad at first. It was a great scene, though. I was suspicious of everyone and scared for Tony. But after I was done being pissed, I’m actually glad it’s over. The last season wasn’t as great as the seasons before it, and truthfully I was sick of “hoping it would be better next week.” I loved how it ended with Phil. Even though the last season certainly left me wanting for more, It was a great series!!!
yeah…It was getting to be pretty lame the last few seasons - I would try to get into it, but it just never happened for me - the question I have is this - the guy who raped T’s therapist…what ever happened with that? I wanted Tony to whack him - maybe I missed the episode where it happened. If not, that was a shitty thing to not have that guy get what he deserved - fucking rapists!
Yeah that was one of the many storylines that was left unsolved…

I dont think he was ever caught.
I’ve been catching the reruns on A&E and its funny to hear the show without all the “Fucks” And “Shits” its so funny to hear paulie say “Bloodsucker!” instead of the original
have you seen that commercial for The Sopranos on A&E where that old man is starting his Tractor and it blows up? Hilarious!
Yeah its supposed to show that The Sopranos is a pop culture phenomenon. Thats why the mafia hit stuff is happening to everyone, even in the country. Cool concept.
My doctor is an Italian. He and I were talking and he asked me what nationality my last name was - I said “it’s Greek”. He informed me that he was Italian as if I didn’t know what an Italian name looked like. I said “no shit Sherlock”. He then felt the need to inform me that his Grandfather was in the mafia, or the Cosa Nostra as he called it…the Black Hand…whatever…I couldn’t believe that the son of an immigrant would rather brag that his grandfather was in the mafia rather than the fact that he went through four years of college, four years of medical school, a residency, and countless sleepless nights to be a doctor - it’s a real shame. I mean, Italians have so many things to be proud of - and yet your average Italian-American wants to tell you that he knows someone who’s connected:
Leonardo DaVinci and Galileo are just two of many famous and influential Italians -

you really dont know if he got whacked or not…but i think he got whacked.
ok, who do you think whacked him? Can’t be NY, the war is over.
maybe some sick mutha fucka who could not stand him…the guy that tony killed his brother, maybe his psycatrist went phsyco who knows there are many people angry with tony.
Well it’d have to be a guy with nothin to lose, cuz you just don’t hit the Boss, especially Tony.

Melfi didn’t tell tony what happened, she broke out in tears in one of thier sessions.
It’s very sopranos to leave storylines open, like with the russian that paulie and chris tried to kill in the snow, the whacked trailer even put a question mark next to him lol
i gotta agree with kilgore the last few seasons were lame the best season is the 1st.
