The Grindhouse Soundtrack

I was looking up stuff on Pino Donaggio’s “Sally & Jack” from BLOW OUT…

and found this soundtrack page: <LINK_TEXT text=“http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/cata … ieid=26787”>Blow Out- Soundtrack details - SoundtrackCollector.com</LINK_TEXT>

Looks like there are at least two different BLOW OUT soundtracks with different track listings and song titles and song lengths…

Looks like QT got his “Sally & Jack” song from the Japanese 1982 LP release…

Interesting to see the differences and imagine how the two track listings are related...

Im pretty sure The Sally and Jack theme is their love theme. It occurs when Jack first talks to Sally in the hospital after he saves her. It also occurs at the end of the film when Jack is holding Sally at that monument.

If youve seen the film, youll know what Im talking about.

Haven’t seen BLOW OUT in years… so I can’t exactly remember the music… but if someone has the soundtrack maybe they’ll know which track to look for…

Hope we hear it soon!

You can hear some of the tracks here:

The “Blow Out theme” I think is the one thats known as “Sally and Jack” on the other LP version. Its a slow tragic love theme.

Ya know, QT might even mix the Blow Out theme with Morricones giallo music in a weird way. Just a guess.

Cool! Thanks, Pete!

Cool idea bout mixing Donaggio with Morricone…

Amazon now has a picture up of the CD case:

can’t fuckin wait

I have a feeling “Its So Easy” by Willy Deville has a special place in Stuntman Mikes heart.

I’m kinda used to that for Tarantino’s movies :stuck_out_tongue:
