I just finished watching this film, and I’m in love. The film was breathtaking and fun, but more importantly the story was so well done and the chemistry between the little girl and the character Roy was just amazing.

“At a Los Angeles hospital in the 1920s, Alexandria is a child recovering from a broken arm. She befriends Roy Walker, a movie stunt man with legs paralyzed after a fall. At her request, Roy tells her an elaborate story about six men of widely varied backgrounds who are on a quest to kill a corrupt provincial governor. Between chapters of the story, Roy inveigles Alexandria to scout the hospital’s pharmacy for morphine. As Roy’s fantastic tale nears its end, Death seems close at hand.”
The movie is actually quite funny in some places, since he’s telling a story to a little girl, but the climax of the story is incredible. I haven’t cried at a movie in quite a while, but I was crying at the end! Also, the actor who plays Roy is super cute…

P.S. Sorry if this sounds like old news, it just came out on DVD here, but it was made in 2006.
