The Devil's Rejects

Devil’s Rejects is the title to the sequel to House of 1000 Corpses. I this movie will rock. I heard Captain Spaulding gets more killing time in this one. I also heard it will be way more brutal than the first since Rob Zombie will have more control over it. I’ve seen screen shots of the production of this movie and it looks like Last House on the Left but with the family as the murderers.

Fuck this. I HATED the original so much. Rob Zombie made himself out to be a hack within his first film.

Why do you hate it? I thought the first one was genius. It was humorus and violent. Captain Spaulding kicks ass! Devil’s Rejects is said to be a completely differant movie so I guess it’s still wishful thinking for those of you who hated the first one.

The first one was so scary. I don’t think I’ll be able to sit through the next one.

I thought that the sequel was to be called ‘house of 200 corpses’.

I loved Ho1000corpses, it was an entertaining-as-hell, awesomely made, visually-stunning hixploitation/splatter flick. beats chainsaw massacre for me (House of 1000 corpses, see the other topic)

I love horror movie, but the first one sucked. The best part of it was his hot ass wife bending over. I watched that part over and over again. The other good thing was, each family member was modeled after a serial killer. Ed Gein, Gacy, Dahmer, etc. Besides that, this movie didnt hold my interest. The doctor looked scary as shit. But it took too long to get to the point, and it was too much like the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This is one of those movies you need to see once, then never again. But that doesnt mean I dont have hopes for the second one. I know Rob Zombie is fucked up, and he make a movie soo much more brutal. Only time will tell.

I thought it was more of a ripoff of TCM 2 then the original TCM. When near the ending how the film just took that huge twist and went into that huge underground lair.

I still hated this movie.

I can watch House and as soon as it’s done I want to watch it again. In Devil’s Rejects the black guy from Dawn of the Dead (the original) is going to play Captain Spaulding’s brother who is a pimp. The bald guy from The Hills Have Eyes is going to play another psycho in the film.

Trent Reznor did what Rob Zombie tried and really made a revolting, enjoyable film out of it.

It’s called the Broken Movie. It’s 10000x more disturbing and sickening then any movie you’ll ever see from a musician.

Trent Raznor?

Nine inch nails.

House of 1,000 Corpses, out of the MANY films I’ve seen, is the only one I hate completely and utterly.

I should note that I liked the Spaulding character, but I ended up hating how they underused him, and the way they made him cop out in the end. That’s just my opinion, though…

As negative as that is, I might be willing to give the sequel a chance if they base it around Spaulding…then again…maybe not. Maybe I’d by better of just steering clear of Rob Zombie. Only time shall tell.

Cop out in the end? What do you mean by that? Anyways they didn’t underuse him in my opinion. I mean he’s the basis of the entire movie. He sets the kids up to find Dr. Satan and basically gets them killed. And in the second one he’ll get to be alot more brutal ( I’ve heard ).

I found out that the story is Officer Wydell’s brother is pissed off about the family killing his kin so he goes after the family and he burns down their house. The family then goes on a cross country killing spree to wind up at Captain Spauldings brother’s ( Ken Foree ) whore town. Officer Wydell’s brother hires two crazy bounty hunters to set out for the family. The bounty hunters know as the Unholy Two are going to be played by the bartender off of From Dusk Till Dawn and Diamond Dallas Page.

He was in all of 20 minutes of that movie. He had the best part, though. What I mean about cop out is that I thought his happening to have Otis in the back seat of his car was pretty far left field. I dunno. It’s probably just me. Hillbillies bore me.

The sequel, though, sounds like good stuff. Especially if Danny Trejo is in it. One of my favorite character actors, that one.

This movie does have one badass cast though.

Michael Berryman

P.J. Soles

Ken Foree

William Forsythe

Steve Railsback

Danny Trejo

Sid Haig

And IMDB says Rosario Dawson’s in it?

Sweetness.

Well if you’ve ever listened to the director’s comentary Rob Zombie kind of hints that the part where she escapes is a dream. She fell asleep while being lowered into the ground and Dr. Satan took her and the guy out ( not zombies) and started to operate on the guy. The girl must have been half awake to have the part where the Professor was chasing her. When she woke up she was next in line and Dr. Satan started working on her. Complicated, yes. Interesting very

That doesn’t make much sense to me, really,… once you’ve been running for your life you don’t just fall asleep…but hey! If Rob Zombie says so…I guess I might as well go with it.

Also, why ON EARTH would I watch the movie through a second time to hear commentary? I almost get sick just typing about it.

I loved House of 1000 Corpses. I don’t watch horror movies for a good story or even good actors, I watch them for the creativity and good visuals. I don’t really judge horror movies like I would any other type of movie.

That’s noble, but good story and good acting are wholly subjective to begin with.

I don’t feel like getting into philosophy, though…
