The cast is awesome, but I don’t like Martin Sheen

Everything will perfect for the last Scorsese movie ! I hope it will as excellent as his first works, my reference. 8)

Can’t wait, I’m sure Dicaprio will be the master, then Jack Nicholson, and Matt Damon (yeah Bleach I have to change my mind on him ! I wish he will blow me away !).

Has anyone seen the original Infernal Affairs ? I’ve seen it. Good, but I’m sure Scorsese will do a better job !

What’s so bad about Martin Sheen? He’s okay.

I heard this movie is really funny too which is cool. I cant wait to go see it!! This has been a great year for me so far, DePalma and Scorsese films out right around the same time. Awesome! :slight_smile:â

Anticipation peaks

Just saw it today, it featured some good performances, a superb soundtrack, flashy action sequences, and the most creative use of a porn theatre since American Werewolf in London. Another plus are the Abbott and Costello like back and forths between Alec Baldwin and Matt Damon. However some of the editing in the beginning was a little choppy and disjointed, and either cut scenes short, or let them run too long. Also the last thirty minutes or so, while intensely violent, come across very slapsticky, and almost feel like sequences from the ending of an episode of South Park. But overall it’s enjoyable, stylish, and fast-paced; and while not a complete return to form for Scorcese, let alone a return to his throne of contemporary-American-urban-crime-gangster epics, it’s not a bad attempt.

Marty is bad to making movies that define the crime genre. What an amazing film. Oscar 2006, don’t deny him.

I saw it the seventh, I loved the movie. Very good performances but the Boston accent was over done in some spots. I liked the soundtrack also - one of the best films of 2006.

I loved it (saw it on Saturday night) Funny, brutal, tense as hell. Great performances all around. This is one of those films where Marty gives you pure high octane entertainment and he doesnt try to make it anything else. Its awesome to have a Scorsese film that takes place in my home state too! 8)

don’t you ever insult President Bartlett!

I’m gonna see it tomorrow

wow fucking wow!

great music, great acting (jack is the man!), awesome fucking dialogue, great action… one of the best remakes ever, ignoring the fact that it’s almost a straight copy

Is there a lot of backstory in The Departed from Infernal Affairs 2? I ask because this movie is about 50 minutes longer than the original Infernal Affairs/Mou gaan dou(2002).

Yep. Very good dialogue - some of the best lines of 2006.

I still haven’t seen the movie, it doesnt come out in Australia for another week. You guys are saying some pretty good stuff. I’m really excited.

Awesome stuff scorsese! jack takes the cake performance wise. leo was good as was damon and wahlberg was an arsehole! in a good way he was fantastic.

didnt go alot on the ending though but thats just me. i agree with Dwight_McCarthy some of the editing was strange as if they would cut to a strange shot or something. but overall best film of the year hopefully scorsese will get the oscar!!
