Now had you have put it in the BREAKING NEWS! thread, I might have paid more attention to it… but it was buried in here… inside the official cast thread.

It wasn’t breaking news at the time I posted the link though, wouldn’t make much sense would it? Also, why do we have two threads, one of which covers part of the other thus making the other largely redundant?
Probably because this is supposed to be for the official cast, and the breaking news topic is supposed to be like a dumping place for other random bits and bobs we come across on the web.
But bits and bobs don’t qualify as “BREAKING NEWS” does it? If someone writes a summary article on what is happening with IB so far, that isn’t “BREAKING NEWS” so why post it in that topic? You’d get people’s hopes up. The capital letters even hint towards the thread containing some big news about IB, so why put random bits and bobs in there?
Seb, don’t you think we should sort this out instead of avoiding the issue? A lot of people have voiced their views about having all these topics. Pete’s topic would work if the title is changed (as it isn’t really just a thread to place BREAKING NEWS is it?) and if you change the subject heading whenever you post something like news/articles etc. That way, people can reply to a certain post containing a link and others will know what they’re talking about.
Ify: The whole reason I opened the Breaking News topic was so everything that pops up online regarding the film can be placed in there. That means casting, articles, vids related to the movie.
If someone writes So and So has been cast in the film in the Breaking News topic, you can still discuss it in the Official Cast topic too.
The Breaking News Topic is for all the little bits of news you find on the film. Why is this such a tough thing to grasp?
Change the subject line if you want.
The easiest way to fix this problem is to open a new topic with the subject that sounds best and merge the Breaking News topic into that and click the “Change Topic Header” function so the entire topic then has the new headline.
i have to sortof side with pete on this, if everyeon just kept using the breaking news topic for what it is, there would be no problem. we should probably rename it to “IB news links collection topic” or something…
Exactly, re-name it and there won’t be that much of a problem. Pete, you started it to post “BREAKING NEWS”, let’s be honest that didn’t work, and I told you it wouldn’t. Like Seb says, I think we should rename it “IB news links collection topic”. That way, people won’t be disappointed when they click on the thread and DON’T get “BREAKING NEWS”. As a topic to collect IB stuff, it’s a great idea. We had one before (that Seb closed) before we knew QT was making it - the IB Info topic. Face it, when breaking news does hit, people will want to make a song and dance about it like we have been doing so far.
I wasnt wrong, in fact Seb was posting news in there too. Thats what I started it for. Anything that came up that was NEW related to the film was supposed to be posted in there by people, hence POST HERE in the topic line.
Ifd you dont want to do that, thats up to you, but people want an easy way to find all the news related to the movie in one spot. Saves alot of time.
That doesnt mean every single thing thats posted has to be some revelation.

I also merged the Pitt/Myers Exclusive topics with the “The Cast of Bastards… Offically” topic, and re-named it slightly. We can use this topic to post about cast-related things.
Yeah, but only the roles of Til Schweiger, B. J. Novak, Samm Levine and Daniel Bruhl as I couldn’t find what roles they were playing elsewhere (why doesn’t the Archives have what role Paul Rust is playing? ). The other stuff is what I already know (from various sources) or can guess.
Simon Pegg is 100% dead on. There are a lotta guys that QT casts that make people go “huh?”, but people are forgetting something, it’s HIS movie and he has the right to cast anyone that he feels defines the part best. I’m sick of people acting like QT is just walking up to actors and handing out roles without auditions. He even replaced Kinski, an actress whom he flied to Germany to meet. They’re his fucking characters, he’s the only one who knows who can play them.
As far as oscars go, this has POTENTIAL. I’m no psychic, but after reading the script, I’d already give it 4 stars (and not just because it’s QT).
