Has anyone tossed the idea of it being a holy relic like the Spear of Destiny? The spear that in legend was used to kill Jesus. Only the tip remains and it’s been used in other movies, Constantine etc… The head of the spear is sheathed in gold and has a mesmerising effect.

I have heard so many theories and a lot of them are pretty funny. Like somebody once told me it was Uma Thurmans feet and then theres the always mentioned a thousand times soul theory. And then of course the something valueable like GOld which I think is BS cuz if it was something like that I think Ringo would have tried to get it even if it meant dying.
When I see the briefcase in the movie the only thing I think is, man what a great filmmaking technique.

It wasn’t used to kill Jesus. He was dead. The spear was just to make sure he was dead without breaking his legs like they did with everyone else. And it was just a totally normal spear that one of the Roman guards had.
