Now that casino royale has been released did Quentin actually like it?
because we all know he had plans on directing this, also are you happy that he didnt direct this?
This is news to me… :-X
oh ok, well quentin expressed interest in directing casino royale a few years ago with Pierce Brosnan still as bond he even discussed the idea with brosnan and some producers i think, but when Pierce Brosnan was fired he publicly said he would have no more involvment in the film
Hmmm…it’s still hard to see Tarantino direct action, but James Bond? …
maybe it’s better this way
yeh i have to agree, it would be interesting to see a tarantino bond film, but bond isnt really tarantino…
I’m getting sick - What is tarantino ?Tarantino is director a very talented one one, i think most people hadn’t expected the idea that Qt did a CSi Episode and he did one…
I believe Quentin said that he thought the producers were affraid he’d make it something(as violent) as RD or something. This is of course total horseshit but it could be that they thought that.
I would have loved to see QT direct a Bond film. The producers didn’t choose him mainly because he has a name, and they didn’t want that his fame would overshadow the Bond character. That’s why the Broccolis always choose relatively unknown directors. They don’t want the words “A Quentin Tarantino Film” to precede the film’s title.
I just want to see a QT spy film someday. He loves that genre and if he wrote and directed his own story it would rock big time. Ë

I would like to see him do one too… unfortunately I don’t think he will.
Well, keep your fingers crossed. Maybe after Bastards. g
I’d rather see him direct the next Austin Powers movie.
Austin Powers: Royal with Cheese
Tarantino often has his mouth running on stuff he’d like to do and they all end up not being made. If he would do Bond he would probably bring out the cartoon character more. the one who uses gadgets and does crazy stunts and saves the world without getting a scratch, which is cool in my eyes, but not at all the direction they are taking with the franchise.

That actually makes a lot of sence, Scarface. You would have two audiences in that theatre: Those who came to see James Bond and those who came to see Quentin Tarantino (which of course would be me). Sure it’s one hell of a way to advertise, but does it seem fair to the TRUE fans of the series?

excellent way to advertise, but remember what die hards were like when daniel craig was cast they had a fit! so if tarantino directed a bond movie it would be totally different to any other bond and people who came to just see an action would probably be a little dissapointed, but i would still love to see a tarantino bond film.
well QT is pissed:

BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Tarantino hits out at Bond remake
Understandable, but he should at least watch it.
Id rather see a QT take on the Bond film than the ones theyre making. I’m much more of a fan of classic Connery Bonds than the Brosnan/Craig ones.
well I see the craig one as one in the style of the connery ones. we’ll have to wait and see where the franchise moves to. personally, i thought casino royale was one of the best bonds in a loooong time. I believe that tarantino would’ve made a great spy flick, but it wouldn’t have been one for the masses, and it’s a commercial fanchise…
I dont know where I stand on Bond anymore. I’m sort of indifferent to that series these days. I dont care enough about it to get angry or sad.
I think QT should write an original spy film. Then he doesnt have to be careful about going in a diff direction with the sacred James Bond franchise.
