Tarantino and indian cinema

hey sebastian, i am an Indian film school student and big tarantino fan-- i check out ur site every day-- for me Tarantino’s films have a lot in common with the general narrative style of Indian (Hindi) mainstream movies made in bombay–(Bollywood) --especially Pulp Fiction makes an excellent comparison with the all time big Indian film called ‘Sholay’ (1975) starring Amitabh Bachchan & Dharmendra, two of the biggest stars in INdia-- Sholey is a kind of ‘curry’ Western-- remember Tarantino calls Pulp Fiction a ‘rock & roll Spaghetti Western’-- an interesting trivia is that the two lead characters in Sholay are called JAI & VEERU which are the same initials as JULES & VINCENT--

–may be one of the things to do to celebrate your school leaving is watch ‘Sholay’-- you can get an English subtitled DVD from this site–>http://www.intelindia.com/videostore/dvdonsale2.htm

once again keep up the good work sebastian!!
