Tarantino a guest judge on American Idol?!?!

Meh. It was alright. There were only two parts I found particularly entertaining.

  1. Some ass clown came out singing Jailhouse Rock, and, even though it sucked, Tarantino raved so much about it that Simon Cowell actually got flustered and was unable to come right out and just say it sucked. He got really defensive which was really hilarious.

  2. When some girl came out singing the theme to the movie that blew out the Oscars the year Jackie Brown came out - thats right, Titanic. I guess she thought he’d be impressed or something, but I thought it was funny to sing as hard as she could, and then just hear QT say "So what?"

Other than that, it wasn’t worth watching. The KB Volume II plugs were pretty much all verbal, and there was absolutely zero behind the scenes or new promotional stuff. I kind of want my hour of life back, to be honest.

thnx puck

The episode was a bore, as usual, though I loved it when Tarantino called the guy who played Jailhouse Rock “The geekiest rock singer since (insert name I forgot here)”

yeah i think it was a bad idea, she really putting himself out there too much

I just watched it. I downloaded it. It wasn’t too bad. I mean I’m glad I could fast forward and just hear his comments. The show is really horrible. It would have been better if he was a bit tougher, but whatever. He’s a big fan. :stuck_out_tongue:

Did anyone do ‘stuck in the middle with you’ i mean you have QT on the show, someone has to do it.

No, and I doubt it would have been a good move. Its the same reason none of the contestants listed a QT movie as their favorite of all time (though their choices really, really sucked and could have benefited from Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs). It would have been kissing his ass waaaay too much.

"Here! You’re my favorite director, and I’m gonna sing a song from one of your movies!"

I doubt he’d have been impressed.

About the only movie that was picked that even showed a hint of taste comparable to what Tarantino would like was the Casablanca song
