Saving Private Ryan is Spielberg - as a director - at his best, if he didnt win the oscar for it I would’ve started a riot, the opening scene is probably the best WW2 battle scene ever filmed

Of course Saving Private Ryan, Indiana Jones are excellent, don’t get me wrong ! BUT he’s too much into entertainement, too much, I respect more artistic directors. BUT he IS a legend for sure ! And he is among the best directors, but not in my personal list… Ahah kinda like the best chicks ever, some are pure beauties, but I prefer charme and cuteness, that’s why they aren’t in my personal list

Saving Private Ryan is d#mned great, excellent, perfect ! The opening scene is of course one of my fav ! All the sound design and effect are amazing ! With a good Dolby Digital or Surround, it’s one of the best things ever made !

Exactly! Im not saying he is bad either, just that i would prefer something else, something more artistic. I love to watch blockbusters too, but they dont do anything for me. Its just entertainment. I wanna be touched when i see a movie.
Saving Private Ryan is great but Its not on my favorite top 20 list.

Yeah, but i didnt mean in an overly sentimental way. Like being forced to feel something. I mean that i need some sort of meaning behind it. A movie that makes me think. Sorry, but its kindof hard to explain since english isnt my first language
Spielberg has done some awesome work, but he is leaning to more simplified entertainment exploitment. He is worse than Disney.
I value artistic content in a movie and a more emotional attachment than Spielbergs cliché ways of making things clear.
He is a master, but he just isnt evolving, just wasted talent in my eyes. And thats the worst, someone who could make awesome stuff making stunning bullshit.
