"Well, I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head that didn’t hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn’t bad,
So I had one more for dessert."
Johnny Cash - Sunday Morning Coming Down
“I’m standing in the middle of the desert
Waiting for my ship to come in
But now no Joker, no Jack, no King
Can take this loser hand and make it win”
Pick up my guitar and play
just like yesterday
and get on my knees and pray
we don’t get fooled again
Did you sleep on the wrong side?
I’m catching a bad vibe
And it’s contagious, what’s the latest?
Speak your heart, don’t bite your tongue
Don’t get it twisted, don’t misuse it
What’s your problem?
Lets resolve
We can solve, what’s the causes?
It’s official, you got issues
I got issues, but I know I miss you
Am I supposed to change? are you supposed to change?
Who should be hurt? who should be blamed?
Am I supposed to change? are you supposed to change?
Who should be hurt? who should be ashamed?
Am I supposed to change? are you supposed to change?
Who should be hurt? will we remain?
You need a resolution, I need a resolution,
We need a resolution, we have so much confusion.
Aaliyah - We need a resolution
I got something to say i raped your mother today and it doesent matter much to me as long as shes spread.
i got something to say i killed your baby today and it doesent matter much to me as long as it’s dead
MISFITS - Last Caress

I got something to say i think that you’re a fucking dipshit and it doesn’t matter becuase you’re not going to leave.
I got something to say i think you need to go into the bathroom and jerk-off again but it doesn’t matter because you’re a wanker
Kilgore Trout - original lyrics
Tystnad
Tunnel, avfart
När taxametern slagits på
försvinner allt i regnet
utan spår
& som en viskning
ser vi syner nu igen
Det här är nåt
som inte ens har hänt…
Tystnad
En rökfri viskning
Det är exakt vad vi vill ha
det luftkonditionerade ljudet
av fart
Du är värd att dö för
Ni kan skratta om Ni vill
HÃ¥na oss
Vi rör oss, Ni stÃ¥r still…
Jag håller mig vid liv
Du håller mig vid liv
Jag håller mig vid liv
Du håller mig vid liv
Lyssnar
stel & fastspänd
& när paniken bryter ut
ler du svagt
och viskar till mig
Du är värd att dö för
Men mot gummi, glas & metall
betyder ett mirakel inget alls…
Jag håller mig vid liv
Du håller mig vid liv
Jag håller mig vid liv
Du håller mig vid liv
Kent - 747
Benny was the bouncer at the Palais de Dance
He’d tear your grannie’s face off given half a chance
He’d sew back all the pieces all for less than half a quid
He thought he was the meanest until he met with Savage Sid.
Sindey was a greaser with some nasty roots
he poured a pint of Guiness over Bennie’s boots
Benny looked at Sidney
and Sidney look right back in Benny’s eye
Sidney chose a switchblade and Benny got a cold meat pie
Army with harmony
Dave drop a load on ‘em
OPP how can I explain it
I’ll take you frame by frame it
To have y’all jumpin’ shall we singin’ it
O is for Other P is for People scratchin’ temple
The last P…well…that’s not that simple
It’s sorta like another way to call a cat a kitten
It’s five little letters that are missin’ here
You get on occassion at the other party
As a game ‘n it seems I gotta start to explainin’
Bust it
You ever had a girl and met her on a nice hello
You get her name and number and then you feelin’ real mellow
You get home, wait a day, she’s what you wanna know about
Then you call up and it’s her girlfriend or her cousin’s house
It’s not a front, F to the R to the O to the N to the T
It’s just her boyfriend’s at her house (Boy, that’s what is scary)
It’s OPP, time other people’s what you get it
There’s no room for relationship there’s just room to hit it
How many brothers out there know just what I’m gettin’ at
Who thinks it’s wrong ‘cos I’m splittin’ and co-hittin’ at
Well if you do, that’s OPP and you’re not down with it
But if you don’t, here’s your membership
You down with OPP Yeah you know me
Who’s down with OPP Every last homie
You down with OPP Yeah you know me
Who’s down with OPP (All the homies)
OPP
Naughty By Nature
When you were here before,
Couldn’t look you in the eyes
You’re just like an angel,
your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You’re so fuckin’ special
But I’m a creep,
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin’ here?
I don’t belong here
I don’t care if it hurts,
I wanna have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
when I’m not around
You’re so fuckin’special
I wish I was special
But I’m a creep
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin’ here?
I don’t belong here, ohhhh, ohhhh
She’s running out the door …
She’s running out
she’s run, run, run, run…
run…
Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You’re so fuckin’ special
I wish I was special
But I’m a creep,
I’m a weirdo
What the hell am I doin’ here?
I don’t belong here
I don’t belong here…

“Sam Stone” by John Prine. I don’t like the song itself that much, but the lyrics - and the “hole/money” line is actually one of my favourites.
[/quote]
Haha, I grew up listening to that stuff. Good old Prine.
Neil Young gives me the shivers.
Neil Young - Southern Man exerpt
I saw cotton
and I saw black
Tall white mansions
and little shacks.
Southern man
when will you
pay them back?
I heard screamin’
and bullwhips cracking
How long? How long?
Bob Dylan - Masters of war (also done well by eddie vedder)
This song sends shivers down my spine. The whole thing is amazing IMO, but this is always my favorite Stanza.
You’ve thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain’t worth the blood
That runs in your veins
I saw cotton
and I saw black
Tall white mansions
and little shacks.
Southern man
when will you
pay them back?
I heard screamin’
and bullwhips cracking
How long? How long?
I think that if the slave owners knew the shit that they we would be going through today, they would have picked their own cotton.

mmm. racism. Because “they” made 100% of the desicions about their lives, or is this gonna be like the fat people argument?

No, I just think that as a whole - they fuckin’ suck. I know…there are “some good ones” and you probably have “black friends”, but the numbers don’t lie. There are neighborhoods we don’t go to at night - and we all know who lives there.
are you fucking serious now?

Thats kind of the definition fo racism. Lumping people into a group and then casting judgement.

I actually dont have any black friends, because there are about 10 black people in my town. That reasoning “I have a black freind” is ridiculous anyway.

So you’re saying having people hate you based on your race after slavery was ended, dosent have an impact on their development. Steroytping a group of people, even if it was most often done a long time ago, impacts the persons perspective of themselves. People, even people like you and me, often subconciously or conscieously conform to the sterotypes people around us make. Top that off with a heavy layer of social injustice, and its pretty obvious that one of the biggest problems for blacks was the “system” that kept them down. Im sure you’ll have some offensive and rude response to this, so im leaving it at that. I dont really care what you say, and i know you feel the same about me. Its great, fantastic.

There are only 26% black people in the U.S. - that’s only 16% more than you have. I don’t really mind them, In fact - I kind of enjoy the culture. I worked with a Blues band for a while and was playing in places where I was the only white guy there. They were always coming up to me and saying “what the fuck you gonna do here white boy” Then I’d give my Fender Super Reverb some juice and beat the fucking daylights out of my Telecaster - and they’d be like “white boy can play - a black man in a white man’s body” I’ve dealt with racism plenty. And by the way…My great grandmother was Egyptian and as black as any brother over here - hell, I’m more African-American than any of them!
