Natural Born Killers is a part surreal film, surreality is an art on its own, what was the indian scene about? alot actually, the fact that they feel bad about killing the only guy that saw through their psychopathic shell, NBK is a film about metaphors, you cant judge it on its surface, im not saying this is the film of the century, im just saying that it didnt suck, i found it very intresting
actually ghosts play a role in many of Oliver Stone’s films. The dead indians in Natural Born Killers and the Doors all come back as ghosts. There are also ghosts in Heaven & Earth and Any Given Sunday. I think Oliver even said in interviews that he believes in ghosts.
I will never appreciate a film maker when he has a homosexual love scene with Joe Pesci in one of his films…I’m not a homophobe, but c’mon…Joe Pesci…

Yes ok, I knew what it was about, but I mean what was it’s purpose? It was one of the lamest scenes I’ve seen. It was so unnatural, and random. Oh yes, these randonindians have taken to us, gave us warmth and shelter, how we adour them. Next minute, bang, oh what have you done Mickey, you stupid bastard, why God why?? Utter shite. I almost gave up watching NBK 20 minutes into it, but I forced myself to watch it, and although it did improve (the prison scenes were ok) on the whole I’d give it like 5/10. In fact, I can’t even remember a whole lot of it such was it’s lasting effect on me.

Word
have you ever seen Badlands by the way? it was the main influence for NBK (and True Romance), if you read both scripts youll notice that NBK is almost an off beat remake of it, classic film

No I haven’t. Yeah someone told me that, he also took the main theme from Badlands and used it in True Romance, right?
aight the day before yesterday i saw and taped platoon. i think it is really good, but doesnt beat full metal jacket or coming home. i also wouldnt rate platoon the same as born on the fourth of july-july was deffinately stronger than platoon, so is the doors movie. im looking forward to see more of his movies.
oh i forgot to say that i watched scarface too, that movie was amazizing as amazing gets its a master piec, but the doors and nbk is still my favorite.

i trust the guy. he is controversial but the world needs a guy who makes controversial films. and i dont remember a stone film that really sucked actually
that is so true. Stone films dont suck they are just misunderstood. People think they suck but they dont really get what he is trying to say. It is like NBK getting criticised because of the violence and the critics not getting the whole point of the film. There are great Stone films and then there are underrated or misunderstood Stone films. He is probably one of the most misunderstood filmmakers around. Back off him, hes a fucking champion.
and Geekite sucks arse
okay in the very beginning where Mickey and Mallory are in that diner and they start killing people and the knife is thrown in slow motion and it is all in black and white then cuts to blood hitting the wall
it was the bullet that made the splatter not the knife throwing scene. He shot the lady with the butcher’s knife and it splattered
I LOVE Oliver Stone! I think he’s with in the top 5 film directors of all to me.
anyone ever see HEAVEN and EARTH?
thats one of the FEW Stone films i havnt seen
I’ve seen Heaven and Earth. It’s a good movie. I liked the fact that OS showed another side of the Vietnam war besides America’s. It’s just a really really hard movie to watch.
Platoon is his best.
I like Natural Born Killers, though Tarantino himself didn’t like the film 'cause Oliver Stone changed it. I understand why Tarantino didn’t like it 'cause the original Tarantino script of Natural Born Killers must have been precious to him.
