Scorsese vs tarantino

#21

Leo has recently said that he no longer regrets doing Titanic.

BTW, has anyone else heard that Scorsese and DiCaprio are working on a fourth collaboration after their next one?

Wow. Didnt know Marty liked him THAT much. Hey question: their next movie THE DEPARTED, what asian movie are they remaking? I heard from somewhere that it was INTERNAL AFFAIR.

I just can’t see Leo as a tough cop undercover,it may work but I doubt it.

don’t want to sound INSANE here, but isn’t this a Taratino site? This is the only forum I post on on any kind of a regular basis (for me, I post here a lot), and I’m only a member because Tarantino is my favourite film-maker. If I thought Scorsese was better, I would post on a Scorsese board. I may have a different opinion on this kind of thing from others who post here, but I really feel like it’s a betrayal for someone to say they prefer Scorsese on a Tarantino board. I’m such an obsessive, I know, but does no-one else feel Tarantino forums should be for those who are also obsessive? I guess not. Call me a purist, but I’m shocked!

Love Scorsese films (who wouldn’t?) but I am a Tarantino Fan. Scorsese films (that I’ve seen) are excellent. Tarantino films are perfect.

So fucking what, when I joined this board I had no knowlage of cinema, outside of him, mainstreem stuff, and a few john woo films. I gotta admit the film that made me fall in love with cinema is Dogma, cause a friend rented it I watched it and it was hilarous,I watched his movies, then Tarantino, then Woo. By the time I had joined I had made a favorite movie list without seing scosesse. I saw Goodfellas, then Mean Streets,I fell in love with Mean Streets. I saw more influences and now I admit that I am not as big of a fan of Tarantino’s films as Takashi Miike but I will admit that I owe my love for cinema to Reservoir Dogs, and other tarantino films, along with this board and Varied Celluloid. So fine if you like tarantino more than scorsesse, just please but this is a movie corner about other films. Don’t talk about this shit in a topic which was a general question.

scorsese vs tarantino: who is better?, i never watched a scorsese film but i heard so much about him…what would you say?
[/quote]

what would I say? watch all scorsese`s movies and then forget about the stupid idea of comparing him to tarantino.

hey! you’re the one who was getting angry at me for saying an innocent comment! How come you’re defending him and swearing at me for stating my opinion?! Also, I was on topic and talking about the topic. I was just giving my opinion and saying why I’m surprised that’s not everyone else’s opinion. You’ve gotta calm down. All I was saying was, as I’m posting on a Tarantino board, it’s obvious that I’m gonna like Scorsese films because they’re good and if you’re a real Tarantino fan you’re kinda by default a film fan and Scorsese’s a major director so I would have thought most people would be able to give an opinion on such a site as this. But also I would have thought the fact that this is a Tarantino forum would at least suggest that people were Tarantino fans primarily. It’s still an ok question, but the answer is ‘Tarantino because I’m obsessed with his films and not those of Scorsese’. And I always imagine people will share my views here. But they don’t, but don’t swear and get angry with me. And what’s this ‘don’t talk this shit on a topic that’s a general question’ shit? I was answering the question, no more, no less. Your personal views are kinda going to be important when answering a question on your personal views, right?

I wasn’t really that angry, but yes you have a point there. I just don’t want another fucking flame war to start.

Anyway as I said and Seb said it is hard to compare.

the basis of asking a question on a forum is getting replays and reading the answers. and since you ask so nicely why ive never watched a scorcece until aviator, i hardly go to cinemas cause its kind of expensive and im always broke, scorcece’s hardly come on free tv cause the guy is so highly reguarded (plus i only recently had an interests in his films, so even if it came i propberbly didnt care), and i dont use cable anymore cause this german cable goes overboard with porn and gets real boring. so in austria if your a simple guy you wont get to watch many of such classic american epics unless you really look for them in tv guides and stay till 1.00 am, which is when allot of such movies apear.

Looks Good - wish i had the money for it :’(

I know its pricy but IMO, Raging Bull alone is worth it. Boxcar Bertha is pretty bad but its funny seeing Marty do a B-movie.
