there i’m revamping the filmography a little. aside from the film’s own pages, i’d like to have at least a little paragraph for each film as introduction on this site, with who directed it, when it came out and so forth. i’ve started with at least a sentence, but it looks so empty. maybe someone wants to write a little? thanks

picked up a vhs copy of the rolling sonatine for 3$ did not watch it yet.

I just rewatched Detroit 9000, great blaxploitation flick. also watched mighty peking man last week. what a blast!

Bought Detroit 9000 a little while ago on dvd, finally got around to watching it today. My thoughts are it was an average blaxploitation film. It was good, but nothing special in my opinion.

the acting was pretty good I thought and the atmosphere, but nothing out of the ordinary I guess… still worth watching for sure

I seen the opening trailer for mighty Peking man looks really cheesey I wanna pick it up.

tons of fun! and the chick is mighty hot

i really want to get sonatine and chungking express on dvd. id like to get these dvd’s with the rtp logo. ya can still get chungking express this way but not sonatine as far as i can see. anyone have any ideas where to get the rtp of sonatine?

it’s only being sold as a bundle with Zatoichi

http://www.tarantino.info/wiki/index.php/Sonatine

any idea on what the pack is like? are both dvd’s in the one case or is it two cases with one of them being the rtp tarantino case? it sounds a bid sad but im considering buying the pack and looking to see if i can download the rtp sleave and printing it.

it’s a regular dvd case with a second disc in it. on the Zatoichi sleave, there’s a small side banner for rtp, as you can see from the cover on amazon… sorry  i wish there was a separate release, too

Criterion is releasing Chunking Express if your interested.

Chungking Express (1994) | The Criterion Collection

40 bucks, steep price… who do they think the movie geeks are? retired CEOs?

I REALLY want to own that on DVD… I just… yeah, like Sebby said, $40 is steep.

check the price on the UK import. but new subtitles and a HD remaster… sounds like a wet dream

Why can’t I just win the bloody lottery, and then buy everything I want. Know what I mean?

As soon as I get a BluRay Player, Chungking Express will be the first BluRay Disc I’m gonna buy. Harry Knowles said it’s awesome in 1080p. I even dreamed of owning a BluRay Player the other day, most likely because Kill Bill and Chungking Express (the best movies ever made by mankind) are coming out.

aw geoi i dream of the day, i hate going to anytype of video shop like hmv or tower records. i always leave thinking “god theres so money films i want, if i won the lotto today id go back tomorrow with a shopping trolley and blitz the place!” ha
