Resident Evil 4?

What are they going to do this time? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll watch it if Milla is in it. Or else what’s the point.

Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010) - IMDb

From what I read back in January it seemed pretty likely she was coming back. The third one is the only one I really liked so hopefully they can keep that level of quality but I hear Anderson’s script is going for a feel closer to the second one.

please not another…

She’s doing like 4 projects right now so I doubt it since the film is set for 2010 release.

According to IMDB she’s only doing two and she’s only listed as rumored to be part of one of those. Not that IMDB is ever all that accurate when it comes to things that haven’t happened yet. Either way Resident Evil Four hasn’t begun casting anyone yet and the script isn’t final so she’s got time.

The series got better with each movie (which is highly unusual), so I’m all for a part 4.

Well Biohazard: Degeneration came out for a reason - they were/are trying to bridge those events to the new film and maybe have some of the RE 5 game plot on there too. So very likely she will die in the next film, maybe appear for a few minutes into the film and kill her off, and then introduce the new characters. I have no idea where they are going to take the story though. Wesker will probably have a bigger role here, that’s for sure.

Where did you hear that? Last I heard Anderson wrote the second draft shortly after Extinction was released and won’t write another draft until they’ve begun casting which doesn’t seem to have happened yet.

Havent they run out of zombies to kill yet?

Scripting complete; casting has begun

Status Updated:19 January 2009

Read the production notes.

I more meant where did you hear that they were trying to bridge events from the games? Where did you get info on the story?

Anyway, I tend not to consider anything from the IMDB comments section as actual news unless a credible source confirmed it first.

I found an interview Milla did with interview magazine earlier this month and she says they might be making another one. I assume that means she’ll be in it if it happens. She’s also trying to console a small child who was frightened by the third film when she says this, so who knows.

Milla Jovovich - Interview Magazine

Well I just think it would make sense since Leon Kennedy was casted or is at least rumored, they’d have to start from somewhere since they sort of ended Extinction to the point where Degeneration begins - in Japan. I don’t get it though, in the VO in Extinction, Alice says that the entire world: “Withered and died” - so I don’t know where they’ll go from there. I think maybe they’re going to do it from a different perspective with different characters as a prequel/sequel thing. Like Terminator for example, the new film they are doing is a prequel to Terminator 1 - so maybe that’s what they will do.

All those rumors of Jensen Ackles as Leon Kennedy are from years ago when Extinction was still in production and they only started because certain fanboys thought he was a good choice. Back then it was commonly thought that Ackles’ TV series would be canceled by now and he’d be looking for a starring role. Since then his show has been renewed three times and he’s starred in two movies one of which was My Bloody Valentine 3D which is likely to become a franchise. I think those rumors should have been layed to rest a couple years ago. But that’s the power of IMDB though. They can spread unconfirmed information as much as they want and people just keep believing it.

The only solid information to come from the project in years is the Milla interview where she says they “might be shooting another one”.

And the new Terminator is a sequel. It takes place after the third one before robots are sent back in time.

Oh my I completely forgot there was a Terminator 3! No foolin’!

Ah well, let’s just see where it goes in a few weeks. I’d see it though, BioBasterd can’t live without zombie gore. It’s been a looooooooooong time coming.

Of course not! Just imagine a virus that spreads like the flu and you can just get an idea how many people got infected in the world of Resident Evil. I still gotta pick up the new game, I’m just so poor. I ate a can of cold beans this morning. They were cold…so cold!

So it’s official.

Here Comes A New RESIDENT EVIL Film!!

That’s a shame, Milla is such a gifted actress - and she can sing too. I think if she chose her roles like Kate Winslet or Cate Blanchett do, she could probably be as good as Greta Garbo.

Damn she’s so pretty and nice. Great video, Dex :-*
