QT Role as Jimmie

I agree with you there, but remember he is acting right next to Harvey Keitel. This is a legendary actor (and one of my personal favorites) we’re talking about, so when you put Keitel in next to him, it’s near-impossible for Quentin to look as solid as he did in the scene in the kitchen, even if he did have some moments of imperfection. I think its just aesthetically enriching and even comforting, as a devoted fan, to see Tarantino fill some of his own smaller roles, such as Jimmie Dimmick.

I heard somewhere that QT had actually wanted Steve Buscemi to play the role of Jimmie, but since he was so busy at the time he settled w/ the minor role of “Buddy Holly” in the Jack Rabbit Slim’s scene.

idk QT was just playing himself. Not much of a character is Jimmie i mean anyone can act pissed off if someone pulled a dead nigger into a house, THAT DIDN’T EVEN SAY DEAD NIGGA STORAGE!!!

i mean its just a role that can played by anyone, i think that QT picked cause he realized that factor.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say he was the funniest character in the movie, but he’s really adorable! I love it when he goes: “Don’t Jimmy me Jules, don’t fucking Jimmy me!”

Tarantino rocked as Jimmy!! i find myself fast fowarding to his part cuz it just cracks me up every single time!

I just found out that Robert Rodriguez directed the parts that QT acted in.

QT as Lance… That would of been so!.. strange/funny? not sure ;?

i think fucked-up are the words lol

Whether he did a brilliant performance or not doesn’t matter! He was right for it, can you think of anyone else better for that five minute cameo. If he didn’t appear in his movies there wouldn’t be as much of a wide-spread phenonemon about him! We would hardly know what he looks like and plus, it sets a style for the film because he is the writer, we know how he wants the film to be acted out!

He may not have read out his lines perfectly, but he did the old ‘method acting’ thing and supposedly wore that dressing gown for months on end- wish I could get my hands on it!
