The difference of the duel fight scenes between Oren and Vernita…
The first duel was Oren vs the bride… They respected
each others samurai abilities… Of course Oren couldve killed the bride easy when the bride was knocked on the snow ground her back laying the sword out of her reach. Oren could have swooped in gone for the kill But! she paused kept her samurai stance her sword horizontally side to her left arm sed
"You will die like a samurai" Oren still in stance thats when
the bride got up picked her sword vertically sed “Attack me with all u got” They attack and pause for while becuz they had to be really carefull with one blink of an eye one will be slice and that was Oren ishii… This duel was patient ,calm,
thought well planned like true samurai warriors battle … There wasnt no sneak attacks bush whackin cheap attacks…
Now Vernita vs the bride, the fight was intence , Brutal and fast. IMO I think Vernita would have slain her becuz she is the best of using a knife… What stopped this was when nikki came in “Mommy I home” Vernita is total lying bitch she proposed a fair fight no sneak attacks, no cheap shots no bush whackin… One on One at the basball diamond at nighttime… Grabbed a kaboom cereal box a panic gun fire
now the reason she miss her target shot cuz the barrel of the gun is covered she cant aim plus, Vernita isnt good with guns
Knives are her specialty, Anyone notice that Qt even paid
a little homage to pulp fiction(The fourth man misfire gun)
shot bullet holes on the wall behind Vincent and Jules, for vernita misfire u can actually see the bullet shot through the upper right wall where the bride stands… Vernita got killed cuz of her stupidity she wanted a quick gun shot death to the bride,Vernita didnt play a fair duel she bush whacked! Instead she got knifed! Oren"s duel with the bride is fair… IF the baseball diamond knife fight were to occur or happened?? Copperhead declared winner!! in the battle!! lol
Hey did anyone see the number 69 at the life meter where the bride was in a coma in the room, Was it a sexual reference to Buck or a Ying and Yang sorta symbol…
My friend mentioned she musta saw steve bushemi dancing in the crowd HOBL floor with the good tune 5678’s rocking to WOO HOO!! I sed hell no Mr pinks doesnt have a cameo in kill bill… anyways Im going to watch it for the 3 time
he makes each battle represent a certain genre.
o-ren was an homage to samurai battles, respect honor etc.
vernita was a mix of kung fu and blaxploitation, fast and hard hitting, cheesy and curse-laden dialogue.
i believe elle will be a spaghetti western showdown, and bill will involve guns and a shootout, then a mix of samurai showdown.
I wonder what style Bill’s duel will be in?
just samurai sword fighting or some kung fu in there as well?
Just as long as it’s longer and better than what was in the early draft (which i believe it is), i’ll be happy. I thought Bill vs The Bride in the early draft was the weakest fight scene in the script…
I wouldn’t know, I haven’t and will not read the script. But i’m guessing it will be well worth the watch since it has to top the other fights in the movie: it’s a standard cinema rule

that script is VERY early. I’ve heard, that QT had trouble with Miramax over that final battle… I think it’s gonna be totally different from what we’ve read in the script

Why did he get trouble with Miramax, was it too boring, too violent, unsuitable?

well… you haven’t read the script.
you can’t have these kinds of discussions because some people have and some haven’t read the script.
but i know a LOT changed from the original script. the elle/bride encounter is changed, as was the final segment of the bill/bride encounter. dunno about the leading up to either of those parts.
