yeah it could be that Bill killed that guy, that’s sounds reasonable. It would also link O-ren to Bill.
Bill character profile mentions that he is indeed the murderer of O-ren’s father. I don’t know where they got the info: wasn’t it in the script? Cuz it sounds reasonable.
Well that settles that. I think that what that info said was pretty acturate. I didn’t see the slightest resemblence to Bill. He looked more like an asian Michael Jackson, but that might just be me. But that would explain why she didn’t go for the gut that actually stuck the sword in her father. If it was Bill, she knew that he was acting on orders, and that she could not beat him
LOL! An Asian Michael Jackson…! I just remember disliking his goddamn awful hair. It looked fuckin’ greasy and he thinks it’s so cool to pull it back every five seconds. Might as well start doing a hair toss.
In anyway, acting on the boss’ orders is kind of a lame excuse for not wanting revenge. Look at the DiVAS… they acted on Bill’s orders (I presume? I have not read the script) and look at what happened to them. Either that or O-Ren and The Bride has a different set of morals.
It’s still kind of stupid to think that she didn’t know Bill had a hand in killing her father… I mean, being the Queen of Crime in Tokyo and all, I would’ve expected her to have more contacts thereby leading to more information. Or is it something she’d chosen to suppress in memory?
Nevermind…dead link >:(
I still don’t buy the whole idea of O-Ren joining up with Bill for the whole DIVAs thing, if he is the one who killed her father, I mean, come on this is the same girl who killed boss Mastumoto at a very young age for having her father killed, surely she would of wanted revenge on the man who’s father’s blood was on his hands, hell he even tried to kill her, indirectly, by setting fire to the house. I sure as hell would of wanted revenge on the fucker for ramming a sword through my dad’s head…Well, no, my Dad’s an asshole and I’d get enough money from his life insurance to get enough equipment to start filming movies…So, I’d thank the person who killed my dad, but anyways, I just can’t see O-Ren not wanting to kill the man who killed her father.
Yeah, but for the whole theory to work O-Ren didn’t know that the guy that killed her father was Bill. She was hiding under the bed the whole time and probably couldn’t see him, plus some time passed between that and when she was recruited by Bill, so it’s very possible she didn’t know it was him.
She could still see the people’s faces. There’s this one shot, where you can see the fight going on through the reflection in her eyes.
Yea but he wasn’t in the fight if I’m not mistaken…
she was probably too scared and too young to know that it would late be Bill
she was probably too scared and too young to know that it would late be Bill
i mean later
I won’t really believe that it was Bill who killed her father until I hear it from QT’s lips, so I am acting as if he has confirmed this theory, so with that said, if it was Bill, I think that he has a certain way of getting under a womans skin. All the women of The DiVAS love him and will do whatever he says, and I think that she kew that he was the one that killed her father, but she knew that she couldn’t defeat him, and plus he probably enstilled in her that if it wasn’t him, it would have been somebody else that carried ou the bosses evil deed, and that since she already killed the man who gave the order, revenge has been served. I also think that by taking her in and showing her how to be an efficient killer, and setting her up as crime boss of Tokyo, he has paid his debt to her.
