i seen a guy obsessed like that on imdb trying to downgrade all of that ability and call it stealing, i let people think that way and thank god i dont have to sit next to em in the theater
I hate when this argument raises it’s ugly head, QT is in a league all his own and he absolutely loves films. SO WHAT!
Yep, he likes Tarantino. He’s just joking. Anticommercial is better than a normal commercial.
And he would never make that site so cool if he didn’t like Tarantino.
And I hate, for example, Aerosmith, I am not going to make an antisite.
I really hope that guy likes QT, or I just wrote crap…! He he.
I think you lot have pretty much covered the subject- what I will say is that the speech on the so-called anti-site really isn’t that anti, I think it is more of a compliment because it shows that he really does have an encyclopedic knowledge of movies!
I hated City on Fire. I love Resevoir Dogs. Thats the thing this person seems to be missing. She said herself she could hardly sit through City of Fire.

This has already been discussed- but what this website unofficially does is promote him even further. The only argument they put forward is the similarities between ‘City on Fire’ and ‘Reservoir Dogs’. If you read the guestbook it is all fans sticking up for him. This website holds no strength apart from building a bit of comical controversy which makes Quentin so loveable and popular anyway. End of…

I can believe that!
these are some clips from a Mike White short docu (called Who Do You Think You Are Fooling) claiming that Tarantino prettty much copied Reservoir Dogs from the Asian movie City on Fire…
<LINK_TEXT text=“- YouTube … ntino ”>- YouTube</LINK_TEXT>; part 1
<LINK_TEXT text=“- YouTube … ntino ”>- YouTube</LINK_TEXT>; part 2
and this is a third extra one comparing pulp fiction to other movies but this one is just stupid <LINK_TEXT text=“- YouTube … =tarantino”>- YouTube</LINK_TEXT>
anyways enjoy

are you kidding me? that stuff is almost as old as reservoir dogs!
Yeah I know Tarantino ripped City On Fire in Resevoir Dogs, I’m saying the video was new to me.

Of course we have s
I merged two of them and take a look for more later on. Remember some nice discussion 2 years ago ;D.
It´s definatly better to have one topic for all of this discussions.
And IMO it is important to talk about this stuff. I´m pretty much sure that new members should know, that other people found QT guilty to steal stuff, but we think that he quotes and makes something new out of it.
For me QT is able to make a new film by using older film quotes, scenes and whatever.

Which brings up a point… name 1 director or screenwriter who hasn’t used an idea or theme from another film at any point during a film??
