Your english is great! Welcome newbie! ;D ;D Happy posting.

(I’m not sure if this was mentioned before) Beatix’s codename is “Black Mamba” which is a poisonous snake that preys on vermin. Then when Hanzo asks her why she needs the sword, she answers " I have vermin to kill"

i dont know if anyone has asked or said this yet but in volume 1 when elle is in the hospital and she answers the cell phone, bill tells her to abort the mission, there is a sound that happens after bill says that, it’s like a screeching noise. i put it on subtitles and it said ‘‘what.’’ bu i dont know why she could have said what. please tell me if you heard this to or im just losing my mind.

it’s the sound you hear when you take the needle OFF a record on a vinyl-record player. the screeching sound of abruptly interrupting it, without pressing Stop first

8) Hi,

Can anyone explain this to me:

In the scene when the Bride finally kills Bill, Bill whipes most of the blood from his mouth, but not really all the blood. Next shot: his mouth is super-clean … ??

Is this an error of QT, or … ?

probably continuity error just like in vol 1 when bride gets fucked up by gogo but when the chain finally loosens around her neck she looks shes stepped out of beauty salon!

If it´s an error, I think it´s really a weird one, because Bill even asks: ´How do I look?´ So you take an extra good look.

Seems to me that´s so unlike QT …

Just after the Bride has defeated the crazy 88, looking up about to battle O-Ren RUMBLE’S

The Bride

"Is that what I think it is?"

  • Pulp Fiction, just after Jules shows Hunny Bun what is in the suit case…

    Hunny Bun

"Is that what I think it is?"

Equal’s that what is in the suit case is the dismembered limbs of the Crazy 88

It sounded more like the screeching noise of Elle’s shoes rubbing across the hospital floor to me.

I watched True Confessions (1981) last night and realised that the little church in the Californian desert at the beginning and end of the film is the same as the one that features in Kill Bill 1 and 2, exterior and interior it looks like. Does anyone have confirmation on this?

none of the action in Kill Bill ever took place. It was kind of like an opium dream. that red head at the end is the same as the chick in Last Temptation when Jesus has that psychotic break.

Anyone notice that “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” is performed by Santa Esmeralda, Esmeralda also being the cab driver’s name in Pulp Fiction?

Anarandil posted this:

Hey, did any of you quys notice that when The Bride draws a line over Oren’s name on the Death List Five in vol 1 it’s written in black, but in the begining (when she puts Vernita’s name out) it’s in red? It’s also in red in the end when she writes the whole list on the plane.

Perhaps someone have allready brought this up, bur I couldn’t find it.
I don’t know about that, but is it Qeuntin’s writing on the list because it is the exact same handwriting and the 'R’s are unmistakedly his? Does anyone know?
Also, at the end in the plane, when the Bride is writing their names on her list, the way she has written it changes slightly when it shows the list a second time most noticable with the circle she draws around the number 3 or was it 2? She must have had to write the list again!
That backs up what i’m saying. You see her hand writing it once, but Quetin must have written the other one- furthermore it is written in black and red felt tip- coincidence? I think not!

Just to return to the issue of whether Taratino’s films could all take place in the same universe, I think it could be.

At least I would like to point out that just because the same actor plays a few roles in different films (such as Samuel L. Jackson) doesn’t mean that the films couldn’t all exist in the same universe. For example, in some films, the same actor plays two completely different parts, like in Kill Bill you have Hattori Hanzo and Pai Mei played by the same actor. In the same way, an actor can play two different characters in two different films but the films could still exist together.

I liked reading through all of these things people have noticed, however, people have posted the same trivia multiple time and their reason for not reading through the previous posts is that it is too long, however if you didn’t repeat things other people have said then the topic would be smaller and easier to read through.

I can’t think of much that hasn’t already been mentioned, and I’m going to look out for a lot of stuff people have noticed.

Pai Mei and Hanzo was not played by the same actor Hanzo was played by Sonny Chiba and Pai Mei was played by Gordon Liu.

Also Micheal Parks plays the Sherrif in Vol.1 and Estavaz in Vol.2

i dont think anyone mentioned this, The Bride walking through a blurry desert is very very similair to Henry Fonda walking through a blurry desert in the “Once Upon a Time in the West” flashback, its pretty much a copy of it

I remember that already being mentioned, although it does look pretty similar, I also read somewhere that it was taken from a similar scene in High Plains Drifter, I haven’t seeen it, so I can’t say if it’s true

Yes, but I think thats just a coincidence. Not a actual reference.
