What are your personal favorite musically-driven motion pictures? This doesn’t neccessarily mean musical or
rock-opera, but more-so a movie that uses music as a catalyst for the story in some major capacity.
Mine are;
O’ Lucky Man!-1973, Starring Malcolm McDowell, Directed by Lindsay Anderson.

Quadrophenia-1979, Starring Phil Daniels, Directed Franc Roddam.

I have never heard of those 2 movies, but I will check out the videos and IMDb, thank you.
I have no idea how well-known it is throughout the world, but
Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem
is a 60 minute movie with a story but no dialogue, it’s essentially an hour long music video to Daft Punk’s 2nd album called “Discovery”.
I love musicals and many classics of this genre are amongst my favourites, two great musicals that are sadly almost-forgotten and therefor deserve mentioning are “The Apple” and “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas”.
