just watched death proof again and i cannot stand the way kim laughs and talks, anyone agree?
I don’t like the way she screams when she’s after Mike, in the car chase sequence. But I would certainly agree, she tries to be like Samuel L for some reason, note she also recites a line from Pulp “Don’t blaspheme”. But she is pretty annoying some of the time.
I love the way she laughs (ok, maybe in real life it would get irritating after two hours, but in the film is it’s perfect).
That´s what I call a stuntgirl,IMO she´s perfect for that role. I like her more and more with every watching.

I can relate. I do like her as an actress but in this not so much. I dont think she is that bad but she didnt have much to work with.
She’s ok. I know women who laugh and talk much worse than Kim.
Shes one of my fave characters in the movie.
I like her a lot, she is bad ass.
and yes she laughs like sam j. he has to be in all QT’s movies, and there he was in Death Proof.
worst character in the film, she kinda ruins the second half

Kim is funny as hell, I hope QT uses Tracie for another role in another film someday.
Upon re-watching Grindhouse, I realise I hate Kim and Jungle. In fact, despite my dislike about the ending, if they had decent actors in these roles, and better dialogue, DP woudl have rocked.
Still the rest of Grindhouse is amazing.

Not dissing it. Had some great elements, music, KR, some of the girls, the gore, the cars, etc. But I couldn’t’ stand those actors, and wasn’t particularly fond of the ending.

I didn’t really care too much for the character of Kim, but I didn’t hate her. She’s WAY too bitchy. If someone talked to me the way she talks to her friends, I’d fucking punch’em in the mouth. But, I guess that since QT wrote DP based on his experiences with his different groups of female friends, there must be such type of bitches out there that don’t get their asses beat up enough.
She doesn’t ruin the movie for me. It’s a kick-ass movie. I love it. Inspite of Kim.
Kim does kick ass! Tracie talk just the way QT wanted his character to talk. And the script called for a Samuel Jackson pimp laugh.
Would I hang out with Kim? Not unless I had a gun.
I would hang with Kim without a gun, she’s the kinda gal who can kick anybodys ass, she don’t take shit. She’s a badass motherfucker. As long as you’re her friend you’re ok.
