I just read that back in '92 James Woods fired his agent for not telling him tarantino’s offer to star as mr.Orange in Reservoir Dogs.

hehe. that’s cool. but where did you read that?

Here it is: ‘Tarantino wanted James Woods to play a role in the film, and made him five different cash offers. Woods’ agent refused the offers without ever mentioning it to Woods as the sums offered were well below what Woods would usually receive. When Tarantino and Woods later met for the first time, Woods learned of the offer and was annoyed enough to get a new agent. Tarantino avoided telling Woods which role he was offered “because the actor who played the role was magnificent anyway”. It is widely accepted that the role that Tarantino was referring to was Mr. Orange.’

I think I got it from that God amongst directors site…

It’s also at the top of the Reservoir Dogs trivia on IMDB

QT should give Woods another chance and cast him in another movie. I love that guy.

I could see Woods popping up in Inglorious Bastards. He doesn’t seem quite right for Orange to me though.

Mr Orange is kind of a young guy part…Woods isn’t too young…but i could have seen Qt casting him as Mr White…maybe…

I kinda see Woods as the wiseguy type a la Mr. Pink, but I still would have rather seen Buscemi take the job. He rules as Pink.

And the point is, that James Woods is fuckin big  . He is bigger in height than Harvey Keitel and for me Keitel is kinda father role of Roth and so Woods would be the wrong man, although Woods is one of my favorite actors.

What I always thought was a funny coincidence was that Woods looks quite a bit like Tim Roth.

No offence to James Woods, but tall people kinda scare me… And yea, Mr.White trying to be all paternal to him would look pretty out of place. Tim Roth is super cool as Mr.Orange, i can’t imagine anyone else in the role.

I can’t imagine anyone else in the role, and as said before it would kinda look out of place. But Q shuld cast woods in another movie, that would be totally cool. He should be in Inglorious Bastards, i can just imagine him with Michael Madsen and Bo Svenson.

James Woods is too old to play Mr.Orange,He would have worked in other things. He is a good actor and one of my favorites for playing the crazy likable guy,He would have worked in a number of others.

anayway Woods is a perfect actor for a Tarantino movie.

"Fired his agent for not telling him of Quentin Tarantino’s offer to star as Mr. Orange/Freddie in Reservoir Dogs (1992)."

If my fucking agent did that i’d kill her! Let alone fucking fire her!

only thing i don’t like about tim roth is his poor american accent.

NNOOOoooo…

I like James Woods as an actor especially in Another Day In Paradise, OUATIA + Casino, but as Mr. Orange, No. Although I would love to see him in I.G (only joking) I.B
