Halloween was a weird career move IMO! I myself, think its a movie that doesnt need to be re-made.
I saw where lions gate made the official cal Feb 19 so it looks like they didnt have faith in Rob either. I hope he doesnt let you guys down!

Get more Scanners (remake) news
Busy Bousman, that’s what we like to call him - this evening Bloody-Disgusting received a tip (now confirmed by Variety) that writer/director Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II, Saw III) is once again in heavy negotiations to helm a remake of David Cronenberg’s classic sci-fi/horror film Scanners. David Goyer will pen the screenplay. Before Bousman can begin work on Scanners, he already has Saw IV and Repo! The Genetic Opera lined up for Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures. The title of the film refers to a group of people who have telekinetic powers that allow them to read minds and give them the ability to make other people’s heads explode. The children of a group of women who took an experimental tranquilizer during their pregnancies, the scanners are now adults and have become outcasts from society.
I mean he has the best mask and best outfit! Post pictures of Mike Myers from each Halloween and compare… Whos your favourite horror icon? Krueger, Vorhees or Myers?

I think Rob Zombie is a great director and you will be very surprised how good the remake is. Also they are remaking Croenberg’s Fly as well but remakes are great, its not like a remake is gonna make you hate the original or make those who havent seen the original not see it.
Kruger will always be my favorite, he always had a little comedy where all the other killers were always business.

I’m glad he’s going in a different direction, rather than just a straight re-tread of the original. Saw the Psycho remake the other day and man that BLEW. It was like a shot for shot copy re-inactment. So, yay.

Its dirt. I think the dirt on the mask makes Myers look scarier. What’s everyone opinion on the new Michael Myers?
I don’t think it’ s the dirt that makes him scary, it’s the total blackness of his eyes …something which Rob seems to have gotten right.
After I read the interviews Im sure that Rom Zombie is gonna surprise us… This will be nothing like the shitty hi tec remake of The Texas Chainsaw remake… It’s gonna be fresh and original, with the beautiful touches of Rob… Think about it, The Halloween franchise that we know is so different than The Devils Rejects so it’s nice to see how this is gonna turn out…

Hey its a remake. Yeah I loved the original theme, but it IS a remake. I don’t wanna see and hear the same stuff all over again. The sequels did that to death…
