Girls and PF

That’s why I’ll never find a girlfriend. All of those girls I like don’t like Pulp Fiction, to say nothing about other Tarantino works.

SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh…

its never to late man, you can always train your girlfriend to like your movie taste.

People still watch Freddie Prince Jr. movies?

Anywho I’m very girly and I love violent sexual movies and I’m a big movie geek. I like to cry at movies too, hell I cried during Vol.2 and Jackie Brown.

Haha I was wondering the same thing about Freddie Prinze Jr… did people ever watch movies with him in it? Anyways, ya I’m a girl too and I love Tarantino films, luckily all my friends do too…
I love pulp fiction its my favorite movie but when i tried to watch it with my girlfriend she didnt appreciate half of its sheer genius. Are all women like this? Was it the rape scene? the violence? or do i need a new girlfriend.

Mia would understand me.
get a new girlfriend.

My ex-boyfriend didn’t appreciate it, which is why he is my ex-boyfriend.

My best friend (MALE) hates all of Quentin’s movies but he came to see Vol. 2 with me and my sister.

He still doesnt appreciate anything QT has done.

I’m bored… feeling like posting.

I love pulp fiction. I regret the fact that I was in the 4th grade when it came out and was thusly unaware of it being, like, the hugest deal ever.

The things he does with the direction… the character development… the realer than real reality… it’s amazing. there are a lot of movies that I can watch on a loop… and a lot of movies I watch and think are near perfect, but they always have inherant flaws that, after a while, start to nag. This movie is flawless. Were I to find a guy who loved this movie as much as I do for the reasons I do (not because of the death… or whatever shallow reasons some insipid people find just crazy cool about QT movies) I’d be perfectly content. So far… zippo.

I meet guys who say they’re movie geeks… and end up just watching movies. There’s a total distiction between the two… you can’t fake geekdom.

I’m proud to say that my girlfriend likes Quentin Tarantino movies…except for the Kill Bill and From Dusk Till Dawn Movies…

Sigh, none of girls I know like Kill Bill too, my favourite Tarantino movie…

That means your girlfriend doesn’t like large fights and bloody action. That means she won’t like his upcoming kung fu movie too.

I’m a girl and i LOVE the violence especially in Kill Bill. I don’t get what the big deal is? Most of my friends don’t like it i have to admit.

My girlfriend thinks he is a “foul mouthed, white trash, idiotic, pop culture junkie”. I had never felt the erge but I wanted to bad mouth her right there but as a man I can’t or I won’t get laid and plus I love that bitch. I don’t really care if girls like Pulp Fiction, all I know is I love it. Maybe not as much as The Killer but still I love it.

you’re an idiot. How can you be around that girl? OK so one of my friends said Tarantino himself was a bit ‘trailer trash’ (huh?) but he still likes his films (or at least those that he’s seen; he won’t watch RD because of the pressure I put on him to watch it)

i love pf. i could do without the rape part but its one of my favorite movies.

lots of girl i know love kill bill, girl power thing i suppose

RD is strong medicine, and if she hasn’t yet viewed it you haven’t yet applied the proper amount of pressure. I suggest propping open the eyelids and a a strap in chair. Please remember to lubricate the orbs.

Well , I’m a girl and I LOVE Pulp Fiction. Any QT film I love. The guy I’m kinda casually dating really likes Japanese-ish things so we watched Kill Bill Vol. 1 together and he kept closing his eyes. That was fucking lame. He wont even watch mother fucking Pulp Fiction with me. But I will agree, I dont know many girls that enjoy PF or any QT film. I watched the Kill Bills back-to-back with my mom the other day (she’s never seen them) and she was surprised. She ranted for fucking hours about how weird it was (" What the fuck are we watching? One minute is some Japanese cartoon then the nest some guy gets his head chopped off?"). I mean I dont blame her. In 4 years I traded in my tennis shoes and puppy dog things for combat boots and QT movies. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hm, I don’t think there’s any reason at all why girls should like Pulp Fiction less than guys. This was the first QT movie I ever saw and I became a huge fan after this movie… And I should probably mention I wasn’t at all into this kind of movies before that… But yea, now I totally am, of course. And I know lots of girls who love Pulp Fiction…

reservior dogs, pulp fiction, jackie brown, and kill bill vol. 2 are all talkfests with occasional outbursts of violence. they do try to be “cool” but they are not “action” movies by any stretch of the definition of the word. i wouldn’t expect tarantino’s movies to skew towards males as much as, say, sin city or desperado.

kill bill vol. 1 on the other hand…fits right in to that demographic. i don’t even like it very much, and i’m not a girl.

I’d say He did a pretty darn good job!

Too shy? You must have seen my name too many times replying and making posts that has made you delirious! I may live in a tiny town but I don’t know one boy (near to my age) that appreciates films in the way I do. Sure they love QT films, but I don’t think they understand them, they just like the violence (which they also don’t understand the meaning of!) You should read the thread about the girls in the forum and why they lke QT, it’ll teach you a lot!!!

I love ALL kinds of movies, my worst are probably cheesy chick flicks and you can’t get more womanly than me! Maybe ladies nowadays are subvertive of the stereotypical view!

I love all QT’s movies. Maybe it’s because I’m a woman, not a girl?
