[SPEAKS TO HIMSELF SO NOBODY CAN HEAR IT]That did it! I’ll be buying that Collection NOW![/SPEAKS TO HIMSELF SO NOBODY CAN HEAR IT]

YAY YAY YAY!!!

Today I held my very own version of the Pinky-Violence-Collection in my hands for the first time. This is indeed a great set, even my most precious DVD-Set so far. Can’t wait to watch those movies. Panik House, give us more of the good stuff.

I got one of the defective Girl Boss Guerilla discs in my set. I hope it doesn’t take too long to get it replaced.

In which way are they defective? I just tried out all of my discs, and they all seem to start normally.

My Delinquent Girl Boss case was loose, but the disc was fine.

Hope you enjoy the collection, Dice. And where are you gonna put the sticker at?

If you mean it won’t play at all, I know that from experience, some smaller companies burn things a way that certain dvds can’t play. I have an uber dvd that plays every dvd on Earth… which I find is necessary and very useful.

From their website:
Discs from the pre-release pressing of Girl Boss Guerilla in the Pinky Violence Collection box set were revealed to exhibit playability problems on certain brands of DVD players. A recall was conducted before the release date, but a handful of DVDs made it into the marketplace. If you experience difficulties with this disc, we will happily replace this DVD at our expense. We’ll even take care of the shipping! Just mail us your disc (not the whole box set!) to:

I got one of those.

Haha, just watched the first 20 minutes or so of “Girl Boss Guerilla” and “Criminal Woman: Killing Melody”. Sadly I can’t watch those movies as a whole before weekend, but what I saw so far, was nothing short of awesome. Especially “Girl Boss Guerilla”: Some cool Catfights, outrages 70s-clothing-style, and more female eyecandy I could actually handle at once. There’s actually something about topless, tatooed Biker-Chicks, which can’t be wrong. The Greeting-Procedure is also a cool idea, and Miki Sugimoto is beautiful and bad to the bone. I hope the rest is as colourful and exciting as the beginning. 8)

And I loved the drawn out one-on-one duel in prison between Reiko Ike and that other Yakuza-Chick (Miki Sugimoto, as well?) in “Criminal Woman: Killing Melody”. It felt quite intense and rough.

Can’t decide between Miki Sugimoto and Reiko Ike, yet. Up until now I’ve been a Reiko Ike-Fanatic, but “Girl Boss Guerilla” might just change that for good.

Digging further into the depths of Japanese 70s Pinky Violence-Movies, I came across this title. At least by naming Miki I think I got your attention, Hung Fist, right? Well, anyway, it’s hard to find any information on the internet, since this is a kinda obscure movie, and actually more Pinku Eiga than Pinky Violence. But the director is Norifumi Suzuki as well, so it could be a winner on visual terms.

Plot-Outline (from imdb):

Many persons visit the hot springs resort to try out Reiko’s famous vagina with quivering walls, “the sensation of worms wiggling about”… that won her her nickname (Mimizu = earthworm). :o :-</E>

Now I’m kinda curious.

That’s the most (insert something here) plot outline I’ve ever heard

Isn’t the correct year 1972, not 1971?

Okay, this is one of those impossible to find movies that actually are almost impossible to find. There’s no dvd anywhere, but Toei has probably released this on VHS. I could look for it if you can give me the japanese title (in japanese).

Here’s a bigger pic of the poster. Maybe someone (Angel, maybe) who can write japanese could copy the title from the poster:

Well, imdb says 1972, german ofdb says 1971. But what the heck, Miki and Reiko looked equally beautiful in both years . . .

Original title would be “Onsen Mimizu Geisha”, now someone still has to translate it. I’m sorry to say that I’m only good at writing Hiragana, but suck with Kanjis. Don’t look too hard for it (well, not for may sake, though) I probably wouldn’t buy it anyway, until I’ve read a promising review I can trust on.

Anyone who wants to buy a poster of the movie, I found an ebay-auction, deadline would be in 1 day and 13 hours (and no, it’s not my auction I’m trying to push here):

“Hot Springs: Mimizu Geisha”-Poster

There’s still so many awesome movies waiting to be released. For example “Sukeban Blues” and it’s sequel, again starring the infamous Reiko Ike:

And what about those other “Stray Cat Rock”-Movies, starring Meiko Kaji, like “SCR: Wild Jumbo” and “SCR: Female Boss”. Will they get worthy, subtitled releases, too?

This is just a rethorical question and I don’t expect an answer. Just me being excited and rambling away on the subject matter.

Sorry with this constant renaming of old topics and creating new ones. Me, Dice and Laydback are convinced that the japanese Pink Cinema is the best thing in the world, and we all are totally over-excited about the genre. To avoid filling the asian cinema section with pink threads we though about making a “General Pinky Violence / Pinku Eiga thread”. When you wanna talk about pink cinema you have three options:

  1. There’s the old topic which is dedicated to films that are included in Panik House’s R1 Pinky Violence Collection. You can also discuss about upcoming Panik House releases, and movies closely related to to those movies (seques etc.) The thread can be found here: <LINK_TEXT text=“http://www.tarantino.info/forum/index.p … 225.0.html”>http://www.tarantino.info/forum/index.php/topic,5225.0.html</LINK_TEXT>

  2. You can make a new thread for an individual movie. Make new threads if you think the movie deserves it, and more than two people () are interested in that movie, and you believe there could be some conversation.

  3. Then there’s this thread. This thread is for general pinky violence / pinku eiga talk + everything even remotely related. If you you have a guestion about a random movie you can post it here. If you just heard a rumor about upcoming pink releases (other than Panik House) you can post it there. If you just saw a pink movie you wanna comment but don’t believe anyone else is interested, then you can post it here. If you wanna discuss about the genre in general, you can do it here.

btw, Discotek will be releasing Blind Woman’s Curse this year

Wahoo, more Teruo-Ishii-Mayhem!!!

I must admit, I’m more into the Yakuza and Samurai-Subgenre of japanese Pinku Eiga, than Horror or Roman Porno. Panik House seriously should skip stuff like “Blind Beast vs. Killer Dwarf” and “Horror of the Malformed Men” and stick to the Sukeban and Female-Revenge-Stuff. But they say, they’ve acquired the rights for “Gincho Wanderer” (starring Meiko Kaji), too, now is that the same movie like “Wandering Ginza Butterfly”, which would be awesome, since I recently read a very promising review about it. There’s currently a couple of Bootlegs on ebay, but if you truly love those movies, you’d want to wait for a legal release.

Please tell me it’s this one:

Dice, you should give the Angel Guts series a chance. Those are visually beautiful movies and even more artistic that Norifumi Suzuki films. Don’t be put away by the theme, which is rape. Rape is really just a background theme; like in the beginning of Red Vertigo some patients try to rape the pain character (who is a nurse), she escapes, runs out of the hostital and the story begins. Rape doesn’t have anything else to do with the film. Red Classroom begins with a bunch of guys watching a video where a woman gets raped. Not knowing if the video is real or not, the main character decides to look for that girl and find out what really happened. And, that’s all there is to rape. The first film is the only one that feautures several rape scenes, but then again the film is such a heavy social commentary that it actually feels justified.

Angel Guts series is really just a bunch of beautiful art movies. The directors had to sign a contract that they will shoot a certain number of sex scenes, other that that they were pretty much free to do anything they wanted. This way they could make very uncommercial movies that would normally never get done.

I’m not saying you have to watch these movies, I’m just saying that one day if you run out of Pinky Violence stuff and your life feels empty, maybe you want to consider these films. I was sure I was gonna hate them, but it turned out the exact opposite.

And since you love Norifumi Suzuki, you may wanna check out the films he made with Sonny Chiba. Both The Killing Machine and Shogun’s Ninja are great. No naked chick there, though. But if naked female ninjas is what you are looking for, then you should grab Shadow Hunters 1&2 and Demon Spies (all released by animeigo).

Personally I’m looking forward to seeing Beautiful Girl Hunter. I was thinking about ordering Wet & Rope along with that. Blind Beast looks awesome too. And maybe I should try some of those unsubbed Teruo Ishii releases by Toei. Especially Porno Jidaigeki looks awesome.

Yeah, I might indeed give them a chance when I run out of movies to buy. Currently they’re not top-priority, though, but actually they sound better everytime you mention them. But first let me watch my Pinky Violence Collection. Tonight I’m gonna start with “Girl Boss Guerilla”, because the first 20 minutes where such a great pick-up. And then there’s still “Stray Cat Rock: Sex Hunter” and “Zero Woman: Red Handcuffs”.
You know, I only use the term “Pinky Violence” for convenient means. For me it means so much more, not just Sexploitation. For some I reasons I’d also put “Lady Snowblood” in the same category, even “2LDK” has a very pinky violent feel to it. I wrote something about it already, as you’ve probably read in the respective thread. There’s something about strong, female characters which I really dig. Throw in some thematic elements about revenge, combine them with superior visuals and some cool tunes and I couldn’t be happier. It doesn’t have to be sex or naked skin at all, that’s just a bonus.

I still have my awesome german 6-dvd-Set of “Lone Wolf and Cub” around here and haven’t come to watch it yet. Judging by the cover-artworks there seems to be an episode featuring a topless, tatooed Samurai-Assassin-Lady. That’s just the kind of an exploitive streak I really like. So thanks for recommending “Demon Spies” and the “Shadow Hunters”-series.

Recently I ordered this movie out of pure morbid curiosity. I don’t think I’m gonna like at all, I read too much gruesome stuff about it. Torture and Rape is a justified story-device, if the respective victim finally gets her revenge, like in those “Scorpion”-Flicks starring Meiko Kaji (looking forward to them very much). “Beautiful Girl Hunter” just seems to focus on the ordeal of helpless abducted women, with absolutely no light-hearted entertainment-value left. But I’m gonna try to watch it with an open mind (if it arrives at all, that is, since “Beautiful Girl Hunter” has been banned in germany).

Yet Japan Shock included german subs, hehe

Do you happen to know the difference between these two releases? Both are by the same company (Japan Shock)

The first one must be the dutch release (isn’t that ‘16’ in the cover the dutch rating) and it also appears to be a PAL disc. The second disc appears to be NTSC, and the cover is “cleaner” so is for the US markets? But no US based internet store is selling it. And I don’t think Japan Shock has ever released anything in the US. Maybe they did an NTSC release so that import seller can sell it to US customers. That would actually be a good idea, the people who want to buy this film are able to import it anyway. However, many US TVs are not PAL compatible, so…

Just a theory.

I just checked with the german online film-database:

OFDb - Exzesse im Folterkeller (1979)

They don’t have the first release listed. The second DVD is the one I bought and it’s uncut. But note, that only the japanese DVD has got the original 2,35:1-picture-format left. The Japan-Shock-Release I got has only 1,85:1, but it’s enough for a movie I’ll probably be trying to get rid of, right after I’ve watched it.

Are you sure there is a japanese dvd release?

I thought the japan shock release was 2.00:1
