Friends in the Valley?

In the part of the film where Marvin has just been shot and they need to get off the road, Jules says that there "aint any friendly places in the Valley"

He then says that he has a friend in TALUCA LAke, on the other side of Burbank Studios cos’ if jimmy ain’t home he “ain’t got any friends in 818”.

Is this line a snub reference at the fact that Warner Brothers, who use Burbank studios were originally set to release the film but then refused because of the drug scenes, before handing over to Miramax ?

If Pulp Fiction takes place pre-1990 then Warner Bros Studios would’ve been called “The Burbank Studios”, as that was the name of the lot circa 1971-1989 in a Columbia Pictures/Warner Bros joint venture.
