Hello,
Im new here and already read a lot of topics in this great forum. I found the notion "fox force five" several times but i don
t know for what this is standing for?! Could somebody explain this item to me, please?
Fox Force Five is the name of a pilot Episode which Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) starred in, in Pulp Fiction. Fox Force Five is a group of five secret agents, each of them female and each have a ‘speciality’. Mia Wallace’s character’s speciality was her skills with a knife. a joke would be told in each episode, but seen as the pilot wasn’t a success only one joke got to be told. Here is a quote from Pulp:
“Fox Force Five.” Fox, as in we’re a bunch of foxy chicks. Force, as in we’re a force to be reckoned with. Five, as in there’s one…two …three…four…five of us. There was a blonde one, Sommerset O’Neal from that show “Baton Rouge, she was the leader. A Japanese one, a black one, a French one and a brunette one, me. We all had special skills. Sommerset had a photographic memory, the Japanese fox was a kung fu master, the black girl was a demolition expert, the French fox’ specialty was sex…
Vincent: What was your specialty?
Mia: Knives. The character I played,Raven McCoy, her background was she was raised by circus performers. So she grew up doing a knife act. According to the show, she was the deadliest woman in the world with a knife. But because she grew up in a circus, she was also something of an acrobat. She could do illusions, she was a trapeze artist – when you’re keeping the world safe from evil, you never know when being a trapeze artist’s gonna come in handy. And she knew a zillion old jokes her grandfather, an old vaudevillian, taught her. If we would have gotten picked up, they would have worked in a gimmick where every episode I would have told a joke.”
Boerg, have you not seen Pulp fiction? If not then why are you on a Tarantino forum?

Wow!
What a nice answer to a new person, above all from a Miss Bexi who posted on this board that she has the DVD of ResDog, but doesn´t wanna watch it! Cuz it is too violent!
Anyway!
Hi Boerg!
Welcome to the board! Hope you have fun here..
And hey, there is no rule to have seen already every QT movie before joining the board... ;) Everything what is important is to be interessted in movies and of course QT.
@ Shady: Thx for that great answer!
@ Miss Bexi: Ive seen all Tarantino movies. Pulp Fiction, too. But only one time and i can
t remember “fox force five”! Tomorrow I`ll watch it again. By the way: Do you know all facts of Pulp Fiction? Gongratulations!
@ CPS: Thx for these nice words.
Why didn’t you just read the script?
This topic is sad. For many reasons.

Sorry, I know this may come as a shock to everyone, but not everyone that posts on this forum is an obsessive Tarantino fan. Cut them some slack.
the Japanese fox was a kung fu master,
ok the topic is sad, but this doesnt make sense, Kung fu was chinese, the japanese always came with samurai and Karate, the Samurai is Japan liek Kung Fu is Chinese
yep. but she is Mia Wallace, and not a cultural expert, she is just a typical american gangster broad

It could be connected to O-Ren being head of the yakuza even though she wasn’t purely Japanese.
there’s actually a movie called FOX FORCE about chicks who do shit, not quite the same as Mia’s descrip, but its obvious Tarantino stole from this movie.
