QUESTION: I heard that Jackie Brown is based on a book, ist that true? What book is it?
ANSWER: Jackie Brown was indeed adapted from a novel called RUM PUNCH, written by Elmore Leonard. Tarantino himself adapted the novel and wrote the screenplay. The book features a female character that is not african-american.
