David Carradine

Indeed. That’s a bum instinct.

I can’t hold my tongue anymore. I was SOOO excited to meet David Carradine last night. He was at a theatre outside called Hollywood Blvd signing autographs with Michael Madsen (They will be there tomorrow evening if you want to go!) www.atriptothemovies.com.  They were charging $20 per signature even if you bring your own photo or dvd. I brought my Katana, and not a cheap one either. When I arrived they were selling replicas from Kill Bill with a COA signed for $85. These swords are sold unsigned for about $39 at most.

The girl in front of me wanted a picture with him and he wouldn’t smile or anything… he just looked pissed off.

I am a Karate teacher and I was curious to what type of Kung Fu he studied so I asked him and he said Wushu and a little bit of Shaolin. He signed my sword and his scummy ass agent said “That will be $20”. I was so offended. This is a theatre that serves food and alchohol. You have to order while you watch the movie so for me and my girlfriend the whole night not, including the autograph, cost me about $90.

There was nobody in line behind me by the way. I wanted to talk to him about martial arts briefly and he just acted aloof of my presence. The earlier posts said that you can go up to him and talk but it didn’t seem so…

To charge your fans $20 for an autograph and then act like you are pissed off to be there is an insult. I was hoping to talk to him briefly about martial arts and that could have changed my whole future in leading me to begin studying Kung Fu.

David… if you are reading this tell me… why were you so pissed off to be there signing autographs for your FANS!

I live an hour from this signing…I was going to go there tonight. Is it worth it? They are just playing Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2 and they are calling it the “tarantino film festival” even though it’s only the two movies playing all 3 nights.

Hahaha! Nowadays people are sooo abusing the name Tarantino just to draw masses AND (in this case) more dollars for Dave.

But seriously, I can’t stand that. Like in the trailer for Hostel. “The director of Kill Bill presents” as if it was his film. I hate Hostel.

Wow this is some pretty negative news on old Kwai Chang Caine. Not a very nice thing to do to his fans. Its not like these people are against him. They were there to celebrate him. He should be as gracious as hell. He probably wouldnt even be spoken about now if QT hadnt cast him as Bill.

Also the guy hasn’t done anything worth of notice since Kill Bill. Sad to say but it’s true. The absolute majority of his new generation fans have become fans thanks to Kill Bill, and Kill Bill only. Not very wise of him to treat them like shit.

Anybody a fan of Kung Fu. David Carradine was amazing In It.

David Carradine’s entire family were bad ass actors. Check it out.

Nice! Congrats David & His New Wife!

In a bid to avoid media intrusion? Somehow, I don’t think David Carradine and his non-celeb wife garner much columns in the newspapers/magazines. He really does believe he is bigger than he is, and, sorry, Dave, if it wasn’t for Kill Bill, I doubt the majority of the mainstream audience would consider him to be anything but a faded b-movie star.

I think that you have failed to see his resume. Not only his, but his entire family’s. He is a marvelous actor that people like Brad Pitt could only hope to be as talented as.

He was great in Bound for Glory but I guess he didn’t always make the best career choices (yellowbook commercials springs to mind) kind of like Michael Madsen.

that’s exactly what he says in Kill Bill diary. before kill bill he made most of his living by signing autographes in conventions
