Do you think I could go to Best buy or some other movie store and ask them to order it for me.
I don’t think that would be cheaper than just buying it from amazon.com and getting free shipping on orders over 25 dollars which a single criterion dvd would fulfill

The Best Buys I go to have sporadic Criterion releases. Spartacus,The Rock, and Wes Anderson’s movies are usually there but I was blown away to find a copy of Le Samourai on the racks (In the martial arts section, of all places) But you can try your luck by placing an order there.
Do you have a Barnes & Noble store or Borders nearby? That’s where I usually get mine.
I live in Alabama, so I probably do, Im not sure. I have bought alot of movies from best buy I never thought they would have: last house on the left, audition,Ichi the killer. Its hard to find good movies when you live in such a rural area. Hollywood video has samurai I,II, & III and also 400 blows, but hollywood video is way out there (45 mins. away from my house) I’ll have to see if theres a Barnes & nobles, to tell the truth I dont think we have one around here.
thanks for your help.
Hey, I got a question, Im thinking of renting a couple of criterion movies, In your opinion what Is the best criterion movie you’ve seen?
I always say Ikiru. Also Le Samourai of course.
Has anyone seen the Suzuki movies? I don’t have a decent video rental and don’t want to blind buy them.

You mean dvds? Because I though Tokyo Drifter was one of your favourite films.
Anyway, the early Criterions (Branded, Drifter) are rather poor. I’m getting the HK Video’s instead. The new Criterions should be of high quality, though.

Brazil Im dying to see that movie!
just wondering who likes that C in the corner and who hates It?
I don’t think anyone likes it…
I LOVE it! No, I am kinda indifferent to it, but why put it there? Is it from dvds in 2006? I don’t like my criterions to be out of style with other criterions
I don’t mind it, but it does become irritating when it gets in the way of a picture. Like this one:
Yeah, at first you are like: did she take a bite of my donut? Are we having cheap macaroni?
ow no, its the half assed C of Criterion in the middle of the picture… >:(
you got to say It takes guts for criterion to do something like that.
Do you think Criterion will come out with El Topo I keep hearing thats Its coming out early 2007. Criterion has been releasing alot of cult movies lately.
