There have been soo many rumors about “what QT is doing next” in the past couple of years, unless he says it himself, I’m not going to get my hopes up.
I mean, remember last year where he was supposively going to do a Hendrix biopic?

Come Drink With Me has been in the wings for getting made for years now. As it did stand it was to be a vehicle for Cheng Pei-pei’s daughter to star in and assume her characters role. The one Shaw Brothers film QT really wanted to do was Avenging Eagle. I definitely would prefer to see him do AE over CDWM. However, since so much work has already gone into developing the CDWM remake (which means probably more based on the original film than a complete carbon copy) I would think it would be easier to get into production than developing the AE project from scratch. If they can find the right balance between martial arts and kung fu with little to no cgi/wire fu, then it could be fun.
he won’t do it, no way. The reason being, Quentin Tarantino will not make a remake of a movie, he’ll never do it, all of his stuff will be original. Jackie Brown was an adaptation, so it essentially was 50 % elmore 50 % tarantino, but everything else was 100%…point being, hw won’t do a remake.
What would be the difference between officially remaking one film (Come Drink With Me) and unofficially remaking a bunch of film at once (Kill Bill)?
