Coen Brothers' Burn after reading

I saw this movie about a month ago and honestly don’t remember anything about it besides the “dildo rocking chair” and Brad Pitt’s final scene.

that’s strange. With you writing scripts, I would have thought you would appreciate the funny and realistic characters and the situations, dialogue and everything.

I’m a writer and appreciate how bold the Coens were with the characters in this one. None of them had a redeeming feature and they made no apologies for it.

Yeah, I think most of it was the environment I watched the movie in. There was like five of us at a buddy’s house and it felt like every ten-fifteen minutes or so somebody was talking about something completely unrelated. I love the way the Coen’s can mix completely odd ball characters into relatively big and complicated stories and still keep everything very coherent. I typically love the Coen’s work in general just haven’t really had the time to re-watch this one.

I’ve also gotta very horrible memory. I’ve re-read stuff I’ve written and not recognized it as my own until a few pages in. It’s kinda cool though. If I don’t watch a movie for over a year sometimes finally watching it again feels almost like the first time.
