Chris Penn has died

I feel so bad. To me he always looked so sad. I loved his story in the Lawerence Tierny tribute, but everytime he laughed i thought he was going to burst into tears. I dont know why. Something about him was incredibly sad to me, all the time. He seemed so happy on the outside, but, i dunno, something seemed incredibly sad about him. He seemed like such a wonderful person tho, i would have loved to have met him.

Same here.

Man this totally sucks! Truly a great actor.

RIP Chris Penn

When I heard this news, I seriously almost cried. He was a great actor and will be missed. I pay him and his family all my respect.

Rest in Peace Chris.

Holy shit!

What the fuck is with this. Richard Pryor, Pat Morita, Chris Penn…

Chris Penn was a fantastic actor, I am so depressed. I can’t even believe it.

Penn Died "Natural Death"

American actor Chris Penn died of natural causes, according to the Los Angeles County Coroners Office. The younger brother of Oscar-winner Sean Penn was found dead at his Santa Monica, California, condominium on Tuesday. Morticians carried out an autopsy yesterday and found no signs of foul play, although they are yet to determine the exact cause of death. Spokesperson Lieutenant Cheryl MacWillie says, “It appears to be a natural death.” Examiners are believed to have linked Penn’s weight to his baffling death - he weighed more than 270 pounds. Santa Monica Police Department spokesman Lieutenant Frank Fabrega has confirmed there will be no homicide investigation. - IMDB

I like him even more than his brother. It’s getting annoying how Sean Penn is always acting in those “serious, sad” movies that make you feel bad and somehow GUILTY after you’ve seen them. I ain’t never, NEVER watching Mystic River again. Why is he doing this?

Anyway - I loved The Assassination of Richard Nixon. Loved it. My Penn favourite.

cause he’s good at it, without over-acting, his performance in MR is oscar worthy all the way

I thought someone put down the wrong name. He was way too young too die.

I can’t believe its weight related though, I weight 250 pounds and am in great health. There are 400 pound people living longer than that! He was great in everything I’ve seen him in, unfortunately he got typecast since Res. It’s really sad the paper mentioned Corky Romano with those other great films.

Ryder Pays Tribute to Penn

Winona Ryder has paid tribute to actor Chris Penn, her co-star in new movie The Darwin Awards, whose body was found on Tuesday. The 40-year-old was found dead in his Santa Monica, California, apartment by a housekeeper. Coroners have yet to determine a definite cause of death, but suspect he died of natural causes, related to his size and history of drug abuse. Speaking at a screening of The Darwin Awards at the Sundance Film Festival last night, Ryder said, “I really hope people go back and watch his movies. He was such a fantastic actor. He’s not just Sean’s little brother. He was Chris Penn.” Director Finn Taylor added that Penn “gave an incredible performance in the film that’s going to make a lot of people laugh for a years to come.”

Didin’t Sean Penn have a fat brother, I wonder what happened to him…

He died recently.

I watched Reservoir Dogs yesterday and after that I looked at some pictures of Chris and he looks totally different…

Yeah, read that too. It actually was Mark Ruffalo though, not Sean.
