what happened to Adam Sandler?..i was interested to see him in a Tarantino film.
. . .when q.t. was marketing kill bill he said he saw the big fight between the bride and elle driver in budd’s trailer analogous to the combating beasts in war of the gargantuas, the old toho monster flick. in other words, these characters are absolutely huge, they’re not people, they’re bloody giants! samuel l. jackson and john travolta in pulp fiction totally fit into this way of thinking. these guys are colossal. when i watch the scene in the car where jules and vincent are bullshitting on the way to a job i don’t see just two actors anymore, i see godzilla n’ king kong, jackson is godzilla and travolta is king kong. it’s not just tarantino’s directing that makes it that way, it’s also the actor himself/herself bringing their greatness to the screen. i think that was proven in death proof. kurt russell was gargantuan in death proof. tarantino’s magic – and it’s the magic of tarantino that has us talking about him and studying him and waiting for him to resurface – tarantino’s magic is the new life he gives to these established actors, icons like russell and willis. now, take the restaurant scene in death proof. there was one giant in that restaurant, russell, and a bunch of relatively unknown actresses. it was a brilliant scene. but if the breakfast table was a round table of ghidrah, gamera, gappa and the smog monster it would have been something else altogether. that scene proved to me that it’s not just the dialogue and director etc. that make a scene great, it’s also the quality, the star magnitude, of the actor too. . .

Very true. I’m kind of tired of seeing Madsen in every other Tarantino movie, even through I love him to death it just gets old.

Yeah right, Madsen was rumoured from the start to be in this. I’ll be damn sure you wouldn’t be saying this if it was still the case. ; )
Madsen might not be in it. Im not dissapointed at all. Hes a good actor but its not necessary for him to be in every QT film.
As long as his actors do a good job and make me enjoy their characters, Im fine with whoever he casts.

So I guess this includes Eli Roth
Ill never be a big Eli fan, but if hes in the film and does a good job, I cant say much.
i think if eli actually does a good job we all owe him somethin
I’m glad to see one of my casting choices seems to become reality. Daniel Brühl will be a great fit. As for Schweiger. I suppose he’s in talks to play Landa, the Jew Hunter. I would have loved to see Leo in that role but I also accept (and encourage) casting native speakers. If Schweiger’s up for the part is anyone’s guess though. On the other hand, if anyone can get the needed intensity out of someone like Schweiger it’s Quentin.
As for Roth, I’m not too concerned. I don’t remember his part in Death Proof but he looks the part. Pegg is awesome and might be able to pull it off.
I really hope we’ll get news soon as to who’s going to play Landa and Shosanna.
at the rate he’s going he should have a full cast in line by Monday
I don’t see why people are still bitching about Simon. He’s not silly funny like Mike Meyers, he’s funny funny. If you ever watch him in interviews, you can see the intense character and confidence that QT sees in him which makes him perfect for the role.
I want to apologise for bitching so much about Pitt a month ago. I’ve now made it my personal mission to learn to like him before I see IB, maybe some of you should do the same for Simon. As for Eli, well, he’s on his own. One thing’s for sure, QT can bring out the best in people.
I wonder if QT is going to play a role himself? I hope so. And I hope none of you guys will bitch about it if he does.

I will. This days of casting himself are over. Did you see the shape he was in in Death Proof. He was ridiculous. I really liked his performance in Pulp Fiction and even FDTD… if he puts himself in this, it’ll just be as bad a news as Eli Roth. Can’t see it happenin’ though!
I don’t think he’s a bad actor. He’s done some shit work, but that’s not solely his fault, it’s mostly the director. He was great in PF, FDTD, and PT because RR was directing him. If QT does play a part in IB, it’ll be a small one, and hopefully he’ll get Robert to helm the scene.

Mike Myers USED to be funny. I dont really think hes funny anymore.
I dont think QT should act in this. He doesnt need to. And Robert, you mean Rodriguez? who cares about him? I dont. RR should stay in Texas and make Red Sonja and Spy Kids 4. QT doesnt need his help.
Right now I hope QT never works with RR again.
LOL @ the people that can’t have anything spoiled for them from the script, not even something so little and vague as Hicox being funny and not being in the film for too long. How is that spoilerish at all?
Pegg is great for that role, Tim Roth would of been much better of course and I would love to see some old QT regulars that we didn’t get to see in a while, especially Steve Buscemi. He wouldn’t fit in with the Bastards as they seem to be shaping up now but he would of been perfect for Stiglitz, one of the ‘crazier’ Bastards. Now it looks like (if my fears come true) that David Krumholtz is in talks to be a Bastard and most probably he’ll be Stiglitz, coz he’s short and weird looking. ARGGHH, that is an outrage, i really don’t like this actor one bit but i’ll just keep trusting QT until he actually disappoints me (hasn’t disappointed me yet).
Kinsky is the best piece of casting news next to Brad Pitt. She’s absolutely perfect for the role of the German actress.
Ahh… David Krumholtz. Just found out who he was earlier. I’ve seen him in a few things (mostly not good things) but it’ll be interesting seeing how QT transforms him into one of the Bastards.
I hope Corey Feldman is still being considered for one of them too.
Corey Feldman? Seriously? Whered that name come from?
It was just a rumour from a day or two ago I think. Apparently QT’s a big Corey fan. Here’s the link: http://www.movieweb.com/news/24/30424.php
wow, never knew that. coreys been in some good flix over the years. cant say im a fan of that 2 coreys show. its pretty ridiculous. would be interesting if qt cast him.

hey cool I like Corey Feldman, he did some decent work in Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys. LMAO.
I can’t believe the people getting together to star in this movie.
