Cast speculation/rumours

Films I liked with Nick:

Valley Girl, Racing with The Moon, Rumble Fish, Peggy Sue Got Married, Raising Arizona, Birdy, Kiss of Death, Leaving Las Vegas, Face/Off, Snake Eyes, Con Air, Gone in 60 Seconds

Ahah, not as huge as his wig ;D

Btw, you’re right, Pete, Snake Eyes was great too. Raising Arizona of course. I still haven’t seen Face/Off though.

must be because of Angelina’s Jolies :o

angelina’s jollies!

I thought Gone in 60 Seconds (the Angelina Jolie bullshit) was a great, entertaining flick…I’d watch it over Death Proof anyday, haha.

Billy Bob Thornton for Lt. Aldo He already has the southern accent…

I haven’t read the script and don’t intend to but Billy Bob Thornton in anything sounds good.

Oh, and I thought the Angelina Jolie 60 secs sucked.

I think Cage is great in a lot of movies, but since he does like 3 movies a month, I get a bit of a bad taste in my mouth everytime I go to a cinema and see 3 trailers with new Nic Cage movies. I mean, doesn’t he sleep?

I love Face/Off lili! You should definitely see it!

If he would have a part in IB, it would have to be one where he dies very soon and isn’t like anything we have seen from him before, so you don’t even notice it is Cage.

I dont see Billy Bob or Nick being in this.

Nicks made some good flicks, and some bad ones. But hes not a bad actor.

I think he is a very good actor and has a lot of charisma. But like a lot of other big stars, who actually are good actors, he makes too many movies that are just crap.

It’s weird how great actors like Pacino and De Niro don’t even get mentioned. Not like Cage is in their league, but he makes simular bad movie choices.

Yeah thats the truth! Cage, DeNiro and Pacino were so great back in the day, then sometime in the late 90s they decided to just stop doing great work and make shitty movies for the cash.

Adam Goldberg from Saving Private Ryan and 2 Days In Paris could be great, along with Giovanni Ribisi.

Do you think QT will actually use the same cast from SPR though?

Of course, no. But it’s kinda a classic of the genre of war movies to use the same actors. Most of the old classic actors are dead or way too old. QT can use the new generation of war movies actors, just like Clint eastwood did it with his last two movies.

Plus Ribisi and Goldberg were supporting roles, especially Goldberg who wasn’t that important in SPR, so you can always ask them in a new war movie without thinking of SPR, don’t you think ?

I know what you mean, but I doubt QT will go with any actors who have been in recent war films esp something by Spielberg.

Its kinda tough to know who he will pick because of Pitt and DiCaprio being chosen. He may go with an all A list cast. I have no idea right now.

Yeah, it’s tough to know. He probably wants Pitt and Leo cause they’re bankable (and great actors), easier for him to get the studios cooler with him. So that he can ask for less famous actors (I mean, it’s QT, the studios gotta know what kind of actors he wants to work with) and any shooting conditions. It’s so exciting to wait for other names for the cast.

Noones heard if Leo and Brad have accepted the roles yet? I wonder whats taking so long.

I haven’t read the screenplay but I hope that Quentin will take some forgotten actors from “old guard”, just like he did with Carradine, Russell and Travolta. I think that Tom Berenger could be a good choice (anybody remeber sgt Barnes from Platoon?). Old stars from “Bridge too far” also could be a great asset for IB cast. Of course Sean Connery, M. Caine, R. Redford or Anthony Hopkins are too old to be a major characters in IB, but one of them should appear in Tarantino movie in cameo role.
