Cast speculation/rumours

Somethings up with the script that we dont know about I think.

SHOSANNA plyed by OLIVIA THIRLBY. 8)

Thanks for getting back to the discussion, Biohazard.

Never heard of her though

Olivia Thirbly?.. Definitely looks like a Shosanna. But I’m still holding out for Natalie Portman. :stuck_out_tongue:

A Natalie Portman quote:

"We live in a violent world, but since the success of films like Pulp Fiction (1994), it seems every movie has some violence in it, and it’s now being used as a form of comedy: audiences are now being encouraged to laugh when people get their heads blown off. I just don’t like hearing people laugh at violence."

I don’t think we’ll see her in a Tarantino movie.

Miserable little sap.

She’s a little too old to play Shosanna anyway. And the actress doesn’t have to be Jewish, some of you have this illogical fixation that I cannot understand.

My proposals.

French actor Vincent Cassel/Joseph Goebbels, his wife Monica Bellucci/Francesca Mondino and Julie Dreyfus/Charlotta LaPadite.

I hate Monica Belluci, she’s the worst actress ever!

she’s the hottest MILF on this planet though

as for the Portman quote, I didn’t know violence in movies started with pulp fiction… rambo anyone?

Violence has been an integral part of cinema since it began. Its one of the main things that creates action onscreen. Nat is a bit ignorant and prudish Id say. Loved her in The Professional and V for Vendetta, those non violent movies she starred in.

You said it Putman. Not to mention those Star Wars films…violent, violent shows.

And The Simpsons…considering her quote was actually about violence being used as a form comedy in movies. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Ahh, I need some official announcements on Inglorious Bastards, I can’t handle it!

If you dont find that scene in PF funny i’m sorry, but there is absolutely no hope for you.

Shes basically saying the she thinks people who get a kick out of crazy film violence think real life violence is funny too. Thats def not true.

She’s great man! She’s only 21, she reminds of Faye Dunaway - she just has that edge. She was also great in Snow Angels, The Wackness and Juno. I’m a fan, can you tell?

True Putney. (I just saw the Putney Swope vid by Bob Downey on u tube, awesome stuff!)

Film violence has a fantasy aspect to it because we all know we’re watching a movie here. And when we see shit like acts of genocide on CNN and shit, we know that’s fucked up because it’s real people in real life who are being murdered. There’s an enormous difference. So it’s apple and oranges - you can’t condemn a great fucking movie by exploiting violence in a very humorous way.

Ltd. Alda - Not sure about Pitt really.

Col. Landa - DiCaprio

Great choice. He might pull off his german text convincingly.

Bridget - Cate Blanchet

Shosanna - Stéphanie Sokolinski

French Actress, Singer. I think she’s perfect for the role.

Frederick - Daniel Brühl

German Actor. Quite successful over here. Lead Actor of Goodbye Lenin.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0117709/

Major Hellstrom - Udo Schenk

German actor with the right Nazilook and intimitading voice.

I’d like to see as many native speaking actors as possible actually. What do you think about that idea? Quentin never relied on Star-Casting. If he gets Pitt and DiCaprio he could cast anyone he wants as far as the studio is concerned. This might just be the movie where he shouldn’t fill all the roles with Quentin regulars and friends.

I thought Rob Zombie’s trailer for Grindhouse had some actors in it that wouldn’t look out of place in IG

Like Bill Moseley and Sybil Danning

How about Nicolas Cage ;D

ye i was considering nick too
