Brian de palma

Scarface hands down

i love scarface but i think i love carrie and phantom more

nah i think scarface isnt that great. 1- blowout 2- casualties of war 3- dressed to kill

i still never seen blowout and casualties of war damn thats a bold statement.

I’d have to say Blow Out is his best film. My favorite though would be The Untouchables, Blow Out is a close second though.

he is mainly a good director but i really dident like The Untouchables.

Yeah, I didn’t like it either. De Palma is a good director, but there’s a great deal of cheapness in his films, isn’t there? I already consider it as a part of his style. In Scarface the cheapness worked excellent, it’s that certain 80’s cheapness I’m talking about.

I don’t like how characters are never that developed in his films… Most of them

It’s because half the time he’s trying to figure out how he can rip off an old Hitchcock movie without having anyone realize it.

off topic but i have been watching Alfred Hitchcock presents and they are pure greatness.

cant say whats the best but my top de plama flicks with no particular order are

dressed to kill

scarface

blowout

carrie
