Resurrection of Golden Wolf. One of the best crime films ever made.
Hideo Gosha’s unbelievably stylish Violent Streets also counts among my favourites.
I seem to be in the extreme minority, but my fav crime film is Way of the Gun from the writer of Suaul Suspects. Most people don’t even seem to like the film but I adore it, you can get it for five bucks though so if you think you might like it it’s worth a look…
As far as best crime film I have seen? Once Upon a Time in America, brilliant, if it had a longer cut it would be the best film ever, as it is, it has flaws due to scenes being cut…
and as said before Graveyard of Honor, both Kinji and Miike versions are great…
And any Jonnie To crime film.
Yeah I love Way of the Gun, Phillipes dialect in it is great
Way of the Gun doesnt even make it to my Top 100 Crime films ever. I wasnt that impressed by it.
I really liked Truth or Consequences New Mexico. Great little crime flick from the late 90s.
City of God!!!

Most people weren’t impressed with it… Your in the majority there…
Truth or Consequences New Mexico, is really great, I saw it a while back, and it’s the film that made me a huge fan of Keifer Sutherland. Kinda wish he would direct more…,
I should add Dead or Alive 1 and 2 fomr Miike. I prefer 2 though…
EDIT: Oh hey what about Ronin? Does Ronin count, or is that getting too close to the epsionage genre?
Scarface
Godfather Triology
Gangs of New York
Goodfellas
Pulp Fiction
Carlito’s Way
Donnie Brasco
City of God
Blood In, Blood Out
American Me
These are the greatest gangster flicks of all time…
