Benihana Slicing & Dicing Kill Bill

#1

My goodness - I just saw a BENIHANA commercial with a remake of the KILL BILL theme song on it. It had some mother fighting some guy inside a remade “House of Blue Leaves”.

Lord almighty

thats funny, cause awile ago I saw a BURGER KING commercial with kids doing ninja shit and the music playing sounded A LOT like an immitating “NEW BATTLE WITHOUT HONOR OR HUMANITY” aka TRAILER MUSIC.

#3

Well - we all have probably seen the Domino’s commercial using the surf music from Pulp Fiction so I guess it is no surprise!

#4

That surf music was created before Pulp Fiction.

#5

Yeah, but Domino’s didn’t start using it until like 1999.

#6

Same with Dominos pizza, plus my cable service provider (Comcast) has a commercial, with a total rip-off of Dick Dale’s Miserlou playing.

#7
That surf music was created before Pulp Fiction.
that’s stating the obvious - but it was used because QT made it big with Pulp Fiction

#8

there’s one commerical when everyones at the beach and some old guy busts out playin Miserlou. is taht dominos?

#9

yeah - I believe that is Dick Dale who is playing it and I forgot what that was for but it wasn’t Domino’s -

just checked it was for NISSAN

On TV Ive seen a local News station commercial using a familiar sounding tune from Kill Bill Vol 1. Its totally a rip off of Battle without Honor or Humanity. It just has a slight different sound to it.

Ever since Pulp came out, everyones been using Dick Dale’s Miserlou and Kool and The Gangs Jungle Boogie for commercials and movie trailers.

#11

Brazillian MTV also is using Kill Bill tracks in its adds… the ones I’ve seen sor far had:

Green Hornet - Al Hirt

Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood - Santa Esmeralda

Woo Hoo - 5.6.7.8’s

if anyone can find this Benihana commercial to download I’d appreciate it.

Shit is corny but so corny it makes me laugh

Just like that Denny’s Commercial that parodied Star Wars with Luke & Han.

Luke is bitching about his food - "How do I eat this?"

Obi Wan says “Use the fork, duke, use the fork!”

Shit they really have that? Are they dressed in their Star Wars costume? I don’t know what to say.

I can’t find the Benihana commercial but check out their official site:

It is a flash intro. I don’t need to say any more what it’s copying.

Good find ^ - that shite is cheesy.

anyhow - the star wars one for Denny’s has them all dressed up in character.

#15

That was funny!!! I needed a good laugh.

#16

In Holland there is a commercial with the song Let’s stay together from Al Green, what is also used in Pulp Fiction.

#17

last night I saw this commercial again and it was immediately followed with a commercial selling a car with “Magic Carpet Ride” playing.

That is one thing I hate when a song I like is used for a commercial - it immediately makes me not like it as much anymore

#18

I just saw that comercial… kudos to Benihana! I love that restaurant…

#19

Everybody loves Kill Bill ;D

Now - Ordell & Jules - are slanging Pontiacs for Pancake Dollars

SILVER DOLLARS!

Seriously - like Sam L. doesn’t have enough roles? They must be underpaying him or else he is making a lotta loot. Then again a lot of celebrities hawk goods for a buck.
