OO yea i forgot even though that happens to be my favorite arnold s. movie.
Ben Richards: “Killian, here’s your Subzero, now plain zero.”
the best scene is with the goalie.
I like the end when that guy from Family Feud goes through the Cadre Cola sign. That guy on Family Feud used to kiss all of the women contestants (with exception to the FAT ones)
yea well when u look at it all battle royale is a twist on running man
I don’t think it should be remade because the first one was really all too great.

I’ve been wanting to see the original for a long now, i just havent really felt like buying it.
I think it’s overrated. Not to mention it had a lot of potential but ended up falling flat on its face. WHat’s more unbelievable is the fact that they made the sequel to it.
naaa its definatly a great movie.
It had potential.
I think he would be perfect as Kiriyama.
And just have Kitano come back as Kitano.
ahahahahahaa
No joke.
He’s an amazing actor, and if you’ve seen Brick/Mysterious Skin/The Lookout then you’ll know what I’m talking about. If not, then you really can’t say anything.
yea in that picture he looks like a little kid thats about to start crying.

It had Aki Maeda. That alone should be enough

I agree.
I’m not sure I think the UK would make the movie. Although it was a rumor I heard and might not be true, I heard that the BR novel didnt come out in the UK for several years after Japan/US because they were so against it.
And I think a decent remake could be made. I read that the director or producer of The Ring was going to be doing BR, and wanted the fans to know that he was a fan of the original. He also wanted to do it based off the book more too, and go into the characters past unlike the original really does. So I wouldnt be worried about Dakota Fanning or anyone who isnt Japanese doing it. And I think they’d keep the high schoolers part of it as well.
All I really want to know is if they are still making the movie at all. I heard that if they had been filming when VTech occured, they would have stopped. But they said they hadnt started filming yet, much less had cast anyone yet. So I just want to know if they are still doing the movie at all, as that is the last I heard of it.

As long as he is saying that he’d like to follow the book closely, then I guess that’s kind of alright. Although, it isn’t Japanese. So they’ve already strayed too far from the book for my tastes.
I never believe any American director who says on the eve of remaking an Asian film that he is a fan of the original. Except Scorsese with Infernal Affairs, I wasn’t so worried about that. Scorsese was making a whole different film essentially. Most of these so-called fan directors are like, “we decided to change this. But it’s for your own good. We had to do it.” Bullshit. How can they say they are fans and still change so much and even bother to remake the film in the first place. I’d rather they just say they are making a second adaptation of the book then a remake of Fukusaku’s film.

But do we even know for sure that they aren’t using Japanese actors? Or Japanese American actors I guess I should say. Last I heard was they wanted to do the film. I read that if they had been shooting when VTech happened, the movie would stop. And I haven’t heard a thing about it since. The page on imdb is still saying 2008 and I know the year isn’t up yet but I just want to know if they’ll still make a movie at all.
And personally, I would rather have a movie based on the book rather than the original movie. And the producer did say the movie was going to be more based off the book, not the movie. So in a sense he did say he was basing the movie off the book. I read the book before I saw the original movie. I still loved the movie, but there are SO many aspects that they didn’t include or that they changed. I’m just hoping that this new movie (if and when it comes out) will have more feeling between the characters and do more about their backgrounds and about the government, which are pretty much the main points of the story, not just kids killing each other.
