This film isn’t so much about war as it is about the weak mind men have and how primitive we are at our cores. The reason it’s not technically a war film is because its an adaptation of a novel written decades before the Vietnam war about Marlowe going up the Congo in Africa during the British rule.

Coppola’s adaptation, vision and storytelling in this film was brilliant. To take a story like Heart of Darkness and mold it into something that fits the time and anger of the 1970s…I get chills thinking about it.

But you can’t even spell 3 letter words.

So it’s not about American soldiers sent on a mission during the Vietnam war? Whatever it’s themes or subtext it’s a war movie.

By that logic A Fistful of Dollars isn’t technically a western beacause it was based on a Samurai movie from Japan. What a strange comment to post.

Mr. Pink is just trying to piss people off.

He complained earlier of there being no scenes of war. And it’s not about guys fighting a war as much as it is a group alone on a mission of the suicide variety during a massacre.

see what Mr. Pink lipstick is doing, he is making friends fight.

Ordell isn’t my friend anymore.

He’s dead to me.

I’m alone on this river…

Nooooooooooooooooo!

To be honest, what happened, or are you kidding?

Didn’t say it was. It is a men on a mission movie, which fits comfortably in the war genre.

I really hope he is. Talk about taking it badly.

He’s just mad cause I’m right ;D

He sent me a private message saying:

“You like it in the butt.”

why is it that us 3 are always on here at the same exact f’n time?

Also, I didn’t say it was a war film. Of course it is shoveled in the genre but like all great pieces it transcends boundaries and becomes something more.

We have absolutley no fucking lives at the same time ;D

I don’t like it in the butt, okay? Guys? I don’t, okay? Just stop.
