I hate the Breakfast Club. I can’t stand that movie.[/quote]
:o

The Breakfast Club’s script is one of the best examples of geniusly written comedic dialogue. I’ve seen alot of films, but I’m still highly impressed at how goddamn good JH wrote that thing.

Yeah and he wrote it only in two days (july 4th and 5th) so that just makes me like him even more
Sixteen Candles
Long Duck Dong!
Return of the living dead friday the 13th series nightmare on elm street series there are alot of good cheesy slashers from this era too.
Heathers is also a great 80s movie. If you dont laugh when watching Heathers you have no sense of humor.
“Now I’ve seen a lot of bullshit… angel dust, switchblades, sexually perverse photography involving tennis rackets”
I watched Revenge of the Nerds last night.
80’s was the best decade for horror in my opinion
-Slumber Party Massacre
-Silent Night, Deadly Night
-My Bloody Valentine
-April Fool’s Day
-Friday The 13th

1973-1983 would be more like it.

Slumber party massacre is an extremely good underrated slasher movie too bad the dvd is out of print now. There all good but i wasent to fond about april fools day. Another one to see would be my bloody valentine
Yeah but sadly My Bloody Valentine is cut on all dvds
yea but it is actually one of them movies i can watch with the gore cut out. Although i would much rather have it all be put back in and maybe a directors cut but paramount will never do this.
When you say “80’s movies” the following pop into my mind:
Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back, & Return of the Jedi
E.T.
Jaws and all sequels
Police Academy and all sequels
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Star Trek and all sequels
The Goonies
Nightmare on Elm Street and all sequels
Back to the Future
The Breakfast Club
Revenge of the Nerds
Sixteen Candles
Uncle Buck
Throw Mama from the Train
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
and too many more to list-
Jaws is not an 80s movie. My geekiness demands perfectionism.
