yeah i wuznt sure while watching it was it suppose to be deeper then just a brainless action movie, or just a brainless action movie
Hot Fuzz - 6/10
Not really my kind of thing, and wasn’t overy impressed with anything to be honest. Likes Shawn of the Dead more, as this was far less funnier and the style got old, really fast for me to the point of giving me a headache. It aimed to be a spoof of sorts on the cop-genre, but it didn’t really work for me. It was actually pretty lame. Always good to see some British humour in a British setting though.
Bourne Ultimatum - 5/10
Only watched this because my dad wanted to and it fulfilled my expectations really. I was willing to give it a try (as I did) and did watch it it with a fairly open mind but with the first 15mins being how they were, I knew what I was in for, and I knew I wouldn’t like this, just I hadn’t liked the previous two. For the record, the first one was below average, the second was dire, this third one was again below average with the exception of one great, fairly dramatic and brutal fight sequence. Very predictable and the dialogue was fucking awful. What’s more, I hate the shaky-cam. It’s great if used for effect occasionally but not throughout the whole fuckign film. Atrocious. Made me dizzy. Not good. Probably the worst trilogy I have ever seen.
Seraphim Falls - 7.5/10
Finally got to see this after all this time. I wasn’t disappointed. Some great moments, some great cinematography and some great dialogue and acting. Of course, Brosnan and Neeson were the stand outs, but then again the film was about them. The relationship between them and particularly the change that occurs at the end was mind-altering and heart-warming. The final third became a bit dull as I wasn’t quite sure where the story was headed, but it made ammends. Storytelling at it’s simplest but a must watch for Western fans. This is one of a handful of Modern Westerns I have watched recently and nothing could make me happier than to know that this genre has resurfaced and been reinvigorated. Roll on No Country For Old Men.
Re-Watch:
Bruce Almighty - 6/10
Fairly basic stuff here. Tame humour, and average performances. Only watched this because of my childhood idol - Jim Carrey who was as you would expect him. Nothing very much thought-demanding, but then again you wouldn’t expect something like this to be.

Miami Vice (2006) - 9/10
re-watched for the 100th time - Heat - 10+/10
re-watched for the 3rd time - Blow - 9.5/10 (This movie has the feel of like you have seen this before in another movie, but since Depp is awesome, good score.)
What about bob - 6/10
Bill Murray is awesome.
Casino -10/10
Yeah casino rocks, its no goodfellas though!
Sin City 8.5/10 (rewatch) - Still visually astounding with plots you can engage with unlike the snoozefest that was 300, it definitely loses something on DVD compared to watching it at the cinema but overall its awesome.
The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - 7/10
Kelly’s Heroes - 8/10
Hostel II - 0/10
Cabin Fever is still his best film and Hostel was moderately good - the kind of movie you only see once and never see again. But Hostel II was a complete waste of time. Why would Quentin say he’s the future of horror? He’s been wearing that title so proudly every time they introduce him, it’s not right people.
I am Legend 6.5/10
My Blueberry Nights 8/10
2 days in Paris 9/10
Touch of Zen - 8/10
Eros (Wong, Sodenbergh, Antonioni) - 3/10
Gaichu - 9/10
Companeros - 8/10
Election 2 - 8/10

I liked the 1st one better.
The Darjeeling Limited 8/10
Great, definately better than 99% of what Hollywood pukes into theatres these days, but I like The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic a lot more.
Cannibal! - The Musical (aka Alferd Packer - The Musical) 7/10
great music, lots of humor - I love Trey Parker. Only sometimes it felt a little dull, and lacked production value (hey, it was his first feature!)
High School Musical 6,5/10
I like musicals. HSM is a quality TV-production with things I like: songs, dancing, camp and kitsch. This is one of those movies that you can’t say you like in public without cynical, critical snobby assholes laughing at you. (Sometimes referred to as “guilty pleasure movies”) I know that some of you puberty-ridden immature Tarantino fans out there will read this and laugh too. Fuck you. Swearing is not the coolest thing ever and Mr. Blonde is not the second coming of Jesus. Grow up.
The Partridge Family (pilot episode) 9,5/10
(decided to start watching this since Quentin likes it and I find his recommendations superb) LOVED IT.
Evil Toons 5/10
Superman IV - The Quest for Peace 5,5/10
Hilarious. In shame I must admit I never saw 1-3. I only bought IV because Cannon produced it and I wanted so watch a bad movie, that is funny because it’s so bad.
Superman Returns 4,5/10
If you expect nothing, you might me lightly entertained. But only then. I hated it in the theatre and decided to give it another chanche. Didn’t hate it that much the 2nd time, but it’s still not what is was supposed to be.
Ninja III - The Domination 7/10
Lessons learned from this movie:
- Even if a Ninja is gunned down two times in a row by 120-150 bullets, he still has the power to dig a hole to hide in and sexually assault somebody afterwards.
- Only a Ninja can kill a Ninja.
- If the demon of a dead Ninja tries to enter your home through closet doors and kitchen objects, you can’t make him go away by just turning on music and starting to dance.

could you re-post yur ratings for both films? Personally I liked the second one better than the first. I think I gave the first 7/10 (EDIT: nope, it was 8/10 too, December 2005).

I think I enjoyed that film a bit too, gave it maybe 5/10… lets check… yeah, 5/10, November 2006. It was a full screen TV broadcast, though (as far as I recall). But decent fun anyways.
Ninja III rocks. That ninja kills like a million people in the first five minutes.

Election 8/10
Election 2 (aka Triad Election) 7/10
If I remember correctly, Johnnie To himself in an interview said that he used a lot of the stuff that didn’t make it into the first one, and honestly, that’s what it felt like sometimes - b material. Some good scenes nonetheless, but the first one had more style.
That’s cool that somebody else has seen the third Ninja from Cannon. ;D What about the 1st and the 2nd, guys?
Enter the Ninja 6,5 (starring Franco Nero)
Revenge of the Ninja 7/10
Regrettably I still haven’t seen the first and second. But the third one I’ve been a fan of since I was eight years old. It has one of the most awesome openings I have ever seen. A ninja goes APESHIT on some fat dudes playing golf for no apparent reason whatsoever, then ruins the shit of a million other cops coming to the rescue. Man I love the eighties.

my sentiments exactly. 8)
also, that opening is really one of the best ever.
The 2nd one is on DVD from MGM, Nr.1 and 3 aren’t, sadly.
Was Pray for Death part of the series? That one wasn’t so great, the rest are all ok/good.
Enter the Ninja - 5/10
Revenge of the Ninja - 6/10
Ninja 3: The Domination - 5/10
Pray for Death - 4/10
