bastically, its bad quality and no extras, but some of those have at least anamorphic widescreen and original sound (e.g. streetfighter). for that money, its pretty good. please use my amazo links if you decide to buy

I have this set. It’s worth buying just for the Streetfighter movies. The other six movies are sort of a bonus. And if you watch the Bodyguard, you’ll see where QT got that Ezekiel 25:17 speech.

is $15 worth 10 Sonny Chiba movies? are you kidding me? Of course it is, no need to ask. But from what i’ve read, this set is out of print. So if u can get ur hands on it, i suggest you do. You’re not gonna find a better deal, although i got mine for $10 brand new.
i have this box for a while now and can say that its worth the money. the quality is mostly pretty bad but the streetfighter movies are pretty good and its a good start-off point into the world of sonny chiba. the value-for-cash rate is good. i recommend it, currently there are no real alternatives

The 10 Faces of Sonny Chiba was one of my most prized possessions. That was until Adness and Optimum Asia (Region 2) started releasing most of the titles included in the set with brand new beautiful anamorphic widescreen transfers. Now the Brentwood set may be a cheaper alternative, still it doesn’t hold a candle to all the proper releases of Sonny Chiba’s films that have been coming out lately.
I want that set so much but I can’t get it because it was only released region 1. .
If anyone knows if there is anywhere to get it multi region or region 2 please pm me a link!

You can not play reg 1 DVDs on your player?

I think it was only “officially” region 1. I got my copy from US ebay seller and my copy is definitely region free. And this box has been released outside US, too. I remember having seen this in Finnish internet stores (as Region 0 import).
Now that I got my copy I could make a review of it…

Sorry, the guy who sold me my copy isn’t registered on ebay anymore. The whole thing was a disaster. First he didn’t reply to my email when I asked about the shipping cost. Then, after I had payed him, it took weeks before he “posted” it. I got shipping confirmation from him april 1st. It arriver 4 weeks later. Judging by dates on the package, it was posted april 17th.
anyway, here’s one seller who says his copy is region 0
